THIS Season (formerly Next Season)

July 4th
@JonRothstein: Only 90 days until college basketball season officially begins......

With a probable lineup of

Williams
Amar
Johnson
Ellison
Mussini

Exciting times ahead.

Things would have been so much better had Lavin been retained.

Something we finally agree on.
Be still my heart.

I feel like mkras is being sarcastic and if he's not I disagree

Super sarcastic. Program was a mess in Lavin's hands.

I honestly believe that things would be exactly the same if Lavin had been retained: a rough season next year (which probably would have happened no matter who the coach was, although an argument could be made that we would be alot better next year with Lavin at the helm) with a lot of question marks about the future. The biggest thing regarding the future will be the ability of Mullin to close the deal and sign some of these highly ranked players. I just hope he figures it out sooner rather than later.

Chris has got one of the best recruiters ever as his right hand man. Between the two of them and Matt they'll run circles around the prior staff as far as being able to consistently assemble a balanced and talented roster. They don't need to "figure it out". They already know what it takes. That's obvious in just watching what they've done over their first few months. I think you're confusing them with the prior staff, who 5 years later was still trying to "figure it out".

Absolutely dripping with sarcasm and those dopes fell for it, thanking each other, you could almost hear the pats on the back coming out of your computer.

"One of the best recruiters ever" is a huge exaggeration, and I'm hoping that that was a little sarcastic.

And yes, they still need to figure it out when it comes to recruiting. They have signed some kids, but mostly 2 and 3 star kids, with the exception of McLovett (who probably will be ineligible) and Mussini.

You just got sprung from the rookie board and you are wasting no time turning every single thread into an argument about this staff v. the previous staff. You don't have to disagree with every compliment to the new staff and you don't have to defend every slight to the old staff. We get it.

I am simply voicing my opinion....if you don't like it, don't read it.

And I didn't turn this thread into an argument about staffs. That was started by mkras99 when he said "Things would have been so much better had Lavin been retained."

I'm sorry....people really need to use the sarcasm font when typing. It's really hard to tell emotions when reading them on the screen.

Any idea when we can expect to see full 2015-16 schedule? :)

The biggest thing to look out for is player and team development under Mullin. Can he take the better 3 star kids and get them to play more like 4 star players the way teams like Butler, Wichita State, and VCU have for example. We can't count on landing many five star players at least until we get a track record of winning. So hopefully next season's recruiting will bring us a couple of 4 star kids to make the job easier.
