The NCAA Tournament Thread

By being a very strong home team. While they obviously do suck a$$ offensively, they had the longest home winning streak in the country snapped this season at 23. Though it’s hard to imagine watching this sh*t show, contained in that of course were wins against blue bloods Puke and North Carolina, 2023 final four Miami and 2023 2 Ncaa win Pitt.
So the Duke NC wins and there 13 wins are to be praised but Seton Halls UConn and Marquette wins and 13 wins in a better conference are to be belittled by NCAA criteria application….okay

This is just sad. I watched Virginia in the ACC tournament. Just pathetic.

Get into the weeds and numbers why St. John’s was left on the outside looking in of the NCAA tournament as we are joined by one of the best bracketologist’s Brad Wachtel. We discuss the metrics that matter, the inconsistency by the committee, how the process and selection room needs to change, the disrespect to the Big East, give our Cinderella teams and final four picks plus a whole lot more in this postmortem on the St. John’s season

The criteria to make the NCAAs should be transparent throughout the season. I like the model where the scoring for boxing matches has a round by round public posting of the points. As to the metrics used......... No more Sunday night surprises. Have some respect for the players, coaches and fans.

At least the no offense Iowa has a very strong defensive unit.

Virginia’s defense is now overrated to me because they have been beaten soundly a number of times.

Plus, whatever leftover credit you want to give Virginia’s defense, should instead go to the fact they are so boring, they put their opponents to sleep.

Iowa's known to be a very competitive Big 10 team with great defense and (randomly) tight ends, but always one of the worst offenses and notoriously boring.
