Thaddeus Hall, SG - SOUTH CAROLINA

WHY ISN'T ST JOHNS RECRUITING THE BEST PLAYER IN NYC ? LEROY TRUCK FLUDD?

They gave him a look.. i think it's a numbers thing with Truck. Combine that with a shaky academic status.. and going after higher profile players.. that would be why it ain't happening.. Welcome to Redmen DHR :)

WHY ISN'T ST JOHNS RECRUITING THE BEST PLAYER IN NYC ? LEROY TRUCK FLUDD?

Fludd is a tweener. We already have Detroit's top 100 version of Fludd who's name is Sir'Dominic Pointer.

FLUDD is better then pointer ..imma tell u that rightnow

Not buying it. I've seen fludd a little bit, although not too much. Don't know where he'd play in college? He's 6'4" but he's not a PF nor SG. Our Pag Branch is almost 6'4". Pointer is a better athlete, and is strong and plays just as hard. I don't see fludd having much on Sir'Dom at all. Hall is almost as tall as Fludd but is a SG with range and a real position at the next level. Don't get me wrong, Fludd is a really good player ala Michael Glover quite possibly, but I don't think he's a kid that will grab big minutes at SJU in coming years. We just signed Jakarr Sampson at PF who is a bunch better than Fludd IMO.

Caught up with Jefferson's Thaddeus Hall tonight at the Mayor's Cup. He said he has no favorites, despite reports to the contrary

Hall said he will take visits in April, pick school late in the month. St. John's, Maryland, Fordham, Hofstra, South Carolina involved, tcu

I was told hall if qualified is a Johnny

I hope so. I really like what I see of his game. Good athlete, body control and good shooter. As some have said, his release is a little low, but regardless you can't leave him opener he'll drain them. He certainly favors SJU. That is obvious, even though the P.C. thing to do right now is to remain "open" as he's being recruited and getting his grades in order.

He's also a great story. A kid that is easy to root for

Just got done watching him for a little at Baruch.. He is by no means a lock for us and he wants to take and will take his allowed visits.

Is he kidding? No favorite, with the likes of powerhouses of Fordham, Hofstra and South Carolina. He'll be ours.

I think he's just saying the right thing as to keep his recruitment alive and well. If I had to guess, we're probably a pretty heavy favorite, as even he has recently said as much. I just think he's keeping things open to see what happens. As far as schools recruiting him, he also has offers from WVU, V-Tech, Maryland and others, not just lightweights.

Like to have local kids in the program (no issues with homesickness ala Pelle), but based on the videos I've seen on this board, I don't question his athleticism but I do have concerns about the low trajectory of his shot.
