Sources say South Carolina's Frank Martin will see 2012 Jefferson (NY) guard Thadeus Hall on Thursday. JUCO is a probable option for him.

New York City guard Thaddeus Hall is fielding offers from the University of Dayton and South Carolina. New Gamecocks coach Frank Martin has the 6'5" scoring guard ready to take a visit to South Carolina, possibly next week; Hall says he is "definitely" going to qualify.

Frank Martin loves NYC kids and has done well getting them.
Mr. PSAL would not like being 12th man on depth chart. Wouldn't see PT next year for certain. Its not a big loss. Timing just didn't work out. Hope he qualifies and hope he does well done there. Our involvement I'm sure helped drive some interest for him.
Happy and Moose pretty much hit the nail on the head, in regards to Hall. "Mr. PSAL" wanted to go somewhere in which he felt he was the first priority of the staff and get significant minutes. The Gamecocks also took a risk as they need to replace a couple of graduates; a couple of transfers; and a guy who isn't gonna rejoin the team 'til January.
Hopefully, he's eligible for Martin's bunch, and good luck to Hall.

We've only got 8 guys on the entire team, and I'd put him ahead of Balamou.
No way at all to spin this positively.

It seemed clear, at least through the things that I was reading, that Hall was a backup plan at best. With all the eligibility issues last year I'm sure Lavin doesn't want the same problems this year. He may have that problem if we land Chandler, but thats a case where the risk is worth the reward. We've got other shooting guards in our sights that match up with the team better. We have the athleticism, but what we need most is a spot up shooter like Borgault is supposed to be.

?? We didn't lose him to SC? What school that came into the picture 2 weeks ago did we lose him to?
We have been recruiting him for months and he makes ONE visit and commits! He is a very athletic scorer and a the best PSAL players. Not saying we needed to sign him as a priority but .........

That's 12 to me. I'd rather him not come here at all then come here, never see the court and transfer. Wouldn't look good have city kids come here and leave unhappy. This isn't spinning anything. Its called facts. And don't kid yourself that the fact we were mentioned so much with him didn't help his cause of getting other schools involved.
