If his follow-up slam doesn't make SC top 10 there should be an investigation. :cheer:
They should run it from the block straight through the slam, baseline to baseline awesomeness.

. He skies for the block from outside the circle. Celebrates his amazing block, then like a gazelle makes it easily back for the putback slam.If his follow-up slam doesn't make SC top 10 there should be an investigation. :cheer:

Everybody has to love this kid. He's ALL hustle, and has excellent athleticism. Plays with enthusiasm. He will only get better. Love watching the way he effects game at both ends of the court. He's a really sneaky good player, that teams still don't scout for at all.
Never expected this level of play by Tariq & agree he can really impact a game in ways not always evident in box score. (Although yesterday that was quite evident)
Related to this, give Matt A credit for assessing his & Williams potential getting both to transfer here. His bringing Simon & Clark seems to have similar potential. In rebuilding process, where would we be without these guys? Nobody is perfect, but have to give credit where due.
Btw, really hope Williams is back. Lastly, I sense Matt has a specific grad transfer candidate from his Rolodex in mind to provide more interior physicality & rebounding. With two transfers sitting out, key guys returning & a grad transfer with bulk, I see a very good team next season.

Lost in the stats is 8 sju blocks, 3 by owens, 4 by yakwe, one by ahmed. Together they held delgado from having his way, with ahmed putting a body on him and mot getting out muscled.
Not trying to knock obekpa but owens blocks shots the way they should be blocked - without sacrificing straight up d. He has cat like quickness and tremendous length. Fun to watch

Ahmed on Delgado? Maybe on the occasional switch. KY was on him from the git go with Tariq on Nzei.
You are not over posting at all but rather praising a kid who lost his mother at a young age, didn't have things work out for him at his first school of choice and continues to be positive and to make the best of his experience and the chance he took on SJU and its rookie coach. I am sure he has exceeded everyone's expectations, perhaps not his dad, and is really a fan favourite.I dont want to overpost on the same subject but I think we have gotten a special player in Tariq. With hopefullly other good scorers in the program we don't need him to average 17 points per game but with a little more work I think Tariq can develop into a legitimate offensive threat to go with his blocks rebounds and hustle.
If he works hard off season and can put on 20 pounds, He can be very good next year.

20 more pounds would be ideal for a year. With his size and explosiveness this kid can be electric. He already is now the guy that usually gets us jumping out of our seats with his high flying acrobats. Add to that him being able to push people around with some more weight and that would really be somethingIf he works hard off season and can put on 20 pounds, He can be very good next year.
yes he needs to add some weight

He needs 25 pounds, a 15 foot jump shot, and to learn to count to 10 when he feels like taunting one of his victims.
