Syracuse

Report has recruits continuing with Syracuse.

Malachi Richardson, No. 31 in Rivals150: “Nothing has changed,” Richardson’s mother, Jacqui said via text. “Malachi is still committed to Syracuse.”

Tyler Lydon, No. 66 in Rivals150: “In our opinion,” Lydon’s parents said, “we don’t think he’s going to leave. He’s never expressed anything even remotely to us that he would think about it.”

Moustapha Diange, No. 69 in Rivals150: “This doesn’t affect anything,” Diange’s Pope John XXII (New Jersey) coach, Jason Hasson said via text.

Franklin Howard, No. 82 in Rivals150: “Oh yes, for sure,” said Gloria Howard, Frank’s mom, told Syracuse.com. “We’re definitely still there. No changes.”

they're on retainers.

@PaulBiancardi: Espn 60 Matthew Moyer "I just spoke to coach Boeheim and I am staying committed to SU, they assured me of my scholarship" Moyer told Espn.

let's see how it plays out over the coming weeks. What else would they say today especially if they already cashed the checks and driving the cars?

Too funny Paul

The color of their pimped rides is a dead giveaway.

SU tonight supplied Syracuse.com a 7 page response the the NCAA sactions handed down today. These guys are arrogant. This has been a long time coming and I hope all of the charges the NCAA handed down today, stick. I think they are weighing their options of whether they should appeal.

Boeheim should be removed from the basketball hall of fame. That's the only punishment that will hurt him. He's in the Mark Mcguire/Barry Bonds category. Otherwise, it's business as usual.

Frank, the charges stuck. They lost in the two day hearing. Appealing this decision is not going to do anything besides keeping this bad news for them in the media longer than needed. They negotiated a long time behind closed doors and won concessions from the NCAA. This is not the Penn State case. This is a normal case of a program breaking NCAA rules for 15 years. I don't think NY's team wants this in the news one day longer than is necessary. Jim B is just doing what he always does - whine.

If they do appeal, you can add stupidity to their arrogance

This has been going on with the SU program for 30 plus years in some form or fashion. The NCAA just turned their attention now to the last dozen or so years.

Is Calipari and Pitino far behind?

UNC will be penalized. I believe the NCAA is investigating. Perhaps the penalties come just in time for their tournament in Brooklyn.

More fodder for the ACC's -- and the other Super 4's -- ultimate goal of leaving the NCAA behind and forming their own governing body.

How do they not get banned from post season for at least 2016?

NEVER EVER play them again.
NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good idea. I would rather see us play a school like Dayton, home and away. Good team, very good coach, solid history/tradition, and a fan base similar to Creighton's, with many in the NYC metro area.
Syracuse should be shunned.

Syracuse should never set foot into MSG again.

If they can weasel their way in for an invitational tourney, fine.

But we should never schedule them again. Nor should any BE school.

The old BE schools still in the conference should receive some of the money that has to be paid back to the NCAA.

Let our schools who lost against their ineligible players up our budgets on their dime.

UNC is going to get crushed

I wouldnt be so quick to drop them (cuse) from future games. They can still put fans in the seats at msg, maybe now we can win more consistently. Still a fun atmosphere for fans, players, alumni, amd recruits. And.... Lets face it, its profitable

NC State is on a 27-2 run and leads Cuse 44-27 in the second half. I love this!

Su SJU is still a nice rivalry. Now that the playing field is getting even , we may start beating them more. Nothing is sweeter than beating them and shutting up their cocky, loud mouth fans.

It should be interesting to see how much longer Boeheim is around and what happens then.
