I listened to the radio broadcast. Sounded like a lot of second and third chance opportunities for Cuse...was it lack of boxing out, or just unlucky bounces? At times it was hard to tell if we were playing sound defense or if Syracuse was just "that" bad on offense.
 
If you had Syracuse and 32 tonight versus St. John's.....YOU LOST!
Great win for the team and all of us who are season ticket holders and on the board.

Defense was mostly good including some improvements closing up the interior. There were definitely some stretches where Cuse was outhustling us but then didn't convert enough to turn it around.

Generous. I hope I am wrong but I see 87-53 or something similar all over this one. They want revenge for last year, plus this is in the Carrion Dome - always tough on the visitor (the dreaded backdrop).

I now have 2 games locked on my dvr, last years Syracuse beat down, and todays slobber knocker... Merry Christmas!
 
Everyone here has been in a piss poor mood since PSU, and we are just fans. We can only imagine how the players and staff felt. Cuse's poor play certainly helped, but the team played well, contested shots, and got back on defense. Have to say that Ellison played a nearly flawless game.

Yes that was FUN (not the Foad kind). Where does Ponds get the strength to so effortlessly shoot those 30 footers? Played with great energy which they need to do as often as possible. Will keep this one on my DVR. Not to be a killjoy but the perspective is I have seen this movie before (last year). Key will be to duplicate this effort more often than we did after beating the Cuse last season.

To show you how the mind works (at least mine) I thought I saw him too but immediately dismissed it as nah, it can't be him.
