Syracuse Game Thread

The only way that Cuse gets knocked off before an Elite 8 appearance is if Melo gets into foul trouble and they get pounded on the boards. Otherwise, they have no real holes.

 PS, Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than Duke.

2nd round for Duke. Unless, they end up with a piss poor matchup (in Duke's favor, that is). Otherwise, I'm sticking to my 2nd round exit for them.

Duke I see losing 2nd rd, max sweet 16. Cuse is def an elite eight 8 or fianl 4 team and def a national title contender. They have size, depth and can stroke it from 3. If they improve on rebounding like they did today, albeit against a smaller STJ team, look for them to make a deep run.

Watch what I say.... 'Cuse will exit the tourney in the "Sweet 16." Many times, it can come down to styles and matchups in the tourney. You can copy this, if you want. I'm saying it now.... They will be exiting the dance in the round of 16.

Not that it matters much right now, but I think Harrison shoots just as well as Hardy. He has a much quicker release than Hardy, though.

Not saying you're wrong but what weaknesses are you identifying? They'll need to face some team that shoots the lights out from 3 to be upset. That's my opinion. We'll see if there's such a team in their pod of the bracket.

Pretty bad Boehim still making his team run up the score Revenge is sweet our day will come

we shouldnt have been pressing the inbound pass and trying to trap them in the back court with 2 minutes to go.

 Classless move by Southerland.

Do you expect anything better from Syracuse. They employ a guy that abused young boys, who's wife sleeps with half players on team.

Syracuse will always be the arm pit of New York...town is a dump

Some people thought they were well on their way at one point last season, and I said they would be gone by the "Sweet 16." They lost in the 2nd round. Some folks thought they were on their way a couple of seasons ago. They were done in the "Sweet 16." It'll happen again this season. Once again, it can boil down to styles and matchups in the tourney. Not saying, that's always the case. Many times, it can be the case.

I'm sticking to my guns and say they'll finish up their season in the "Sweet 16." If I'm wrong then I'll eat crow. I don't think I'll be wrong, though.

Dom and Amir have a long way to go offensively. They both threw up some bad looking garbage today. Just ugly stuff. They need to get back to basics.

Those two will always be energy guys who brings it every night on both ends. The thing is we might not be able to count on them to be offensive threats until their junior years. Otherwise, expect junk buckets and an occasional made jumper from the outside. I can see them forcing turnovers once we're able to truly play our game with more sufficient bodies.

I agree, that's what concerns about next year. I don't think you can count on either to be a reliable 3rd option. We need more scoring on the nights Mo and D'Angelo don't have it. I like the signs I'm seeing from Greene. He's shooting it with more confidence and is being more aggressive. Need some more punch next year in addition to the obvious bigs.

I'm sure Dom will improve. He's just got to put the work in. Amir I'm less optimistic about seeing improvement. Lets face it, the only way you really improve is by putting in the work in the summer and getting repitition. Amir isn't even going to be around this summer because of baseball, so when exactly is he going to work on his game? He'll come back to campus next fall and probably have the same flaws. Can never ever question his hustle and grit though.
