Summer get together with Matt / JohnniesPride Tweet

Honest question. Why didn't Matt tweet it out himself? Why did he reach out to a fan to mention it? Any idea?
Why does it matter? Just go and ask away.
It matters to me and I'm entitled to pose the question :)

Matt has more followers than the person who asked it. If you want reach logic says the person with the bigger reach. Asking an honest question of why use an intermediary.

I have no desire to attend but for those who do, I wish them the best.
I'm thinking conspiracy theory here, what about you?:)

I think that it is a good idea.

But the problem is that our majority of fans are older than 45 and don´t use twitter. :)
Well said Gonzalo!!!
Thus, Mullin's Maniacs, designed to support, unite, and promote #SJUBB and give the program more of a Twitter presence! Need to work on getting fans who were not born yet in the glory years i.e. late 80's babies and younger.
So, put on your medium size T shirt and either go to the event or text away, let him know what you think.

FWIW, Liz Mullin (Chris's wife) posted on twitter that she thinks it's a great idea and wants to attend....
Ask Liz if she plans on bringing the Maven. He he attends I'll bring the vino.
Your job is to bring the Mitch cut out
Mission Impossible
FWIW, Liz Mullin (Chris's wife) posted on twitter that she thinks it's a great idea and wants to attend....
Mullins wife through a member here last season said she wants to come to 114 during a MSG game ( no joke ) next season. ( she could rank as a 114 favorite reaching Marvin Clark Status and Amar soon ) From the person that told me this she sounds like a really nice person. Like I said before if this happens I'm in and people who go better be nice and not nuts like we all get. Treat people the way you want to be treated.

Major kudos to Matt for offering this up. Could be a great thing for ongoing and down-the-road relations between the Staff and this Board.
But, it’s got to be handled right, like be on good behavior, be respectful, ask solid questions, and remember that we’re all on the same team.

Happily, he looks like he can be counted on to write Xanax prescriptions to all for the coming season ... especially if Ponds doesn't return.

Paultz, as someone who constantly leaks information, please cite the evidence that Brooks left because of a tweet saying that we "hope he stays" and that he "has a bright future here". You're the one who originated the rumor on here and I'm sick of taking blame for this rumor. I know it's fashionable to pile on me, but can't let people get away with making such implications without any proof. He was already leaving before that tweet but that doesn't fit the narrative, so let's just say a fan saying positive things on Twitter made him do it (doesn't even make any sense). Gathering fans on Twitter to promote SJUBB is only seen as a negative by those with an agenda. Of course there will be disagreements, but that's with any group or forum. And also, our name is "Mullin's Maniacs" because we are huge St. John's fans and Mullin is our coach. You can wish someone well and also critique them when warranted at the same time...not unlike teachers. Does giving a bad grade mean they hate their student? Or do they wish them the best, but at the end of the day they need correcting?

Why the hell should our staff be concerned about their relationship with this board? This is a fan forum...no more, and no less.

Not clearing a night like this with those in authority was not right way to go apparently.
Can't say I blame them - thought it was a very well intentioned idea, but unleashing this fan base on poor Matt at a bar definitely had potential for disaster
90% of Matt's job is dealing with unsigned recruits (either open or verbally committed). He wouldn't have been able to give us much within the NCAA rules, anyway.

Or thing he would have said is this is the most talented roster they have had in Mullin regime. Have heard that several times recently. Now ball is in staff’s court to prove that.

That I'll buy, what won't buy is this is the best roster since the Artest/Bootsy/Barkley teams. Not suggesting those Lavin teams including his 1st team with Norm's kids were worldbeaters but on paper I think a couple of those underachieving Lavin teams were better.

We'll see how much better they are on the floor with better depth. Need to take a HUGE step forward.

I said this a few days back when I said who made Matt the coach. Apparently the AD was also miffed about this approach.
