STONY BROOK, Tue., Nov. 7, 7p, FS-1

Well that was fun. That offense was night and day from what we’ve seen over the last decade or so. I know it was Stonybrook but even when blowing out cupcakes in the past recent St. John’s teams relied more on just having better talent than an intentional offensive system in addition to that talent. Finding open shooters who are then knocking the open shots down? What program is this? Excited to see how they do against Michigan.

Ledlum may be the latest in the singleton, middleton, glover , t grant line. Great company to be in.
I could see the Michigan game coming down to Ledlum and Soriano offensive rebounds late. The best part of tonight was watching Ledlum on the offensive glass. Shooting comes and goes, but offensive rebounding is always there if you want it more than they do.

Yes definitely noticed offensive sets. Something we haven't seen in a long time

great to see a packed arena tonight. A fun start

My quick reactions:

1) I was sure Cruz would RS. Now I can see why there was no need to.
2) How the hell does Vegas do it? Surely Eric has some insight into what they are looking at when setting lines.
3) gregbodkin got a job at Publix for the lonely MILFs. Any other reason he gives is total BS.

Very enjoyable game to be at. Great sized crowd but we didn’t seem to be super loud. Couple double doubles and Jenkins not far off from a triple double.

Love that dingle can create his own shot and get to the basket and finish well.

I was actually impressed with stony Brook and they weren’t as bad as I thought they might be. Too bad we didn’t keep the lead over 20.

All in all very satisfying game. Thanks monte for the tix!!

Looking forward to Michigan game.

Soriano is so happy he stayed, it's night and day from last year.

I was at the game tonight with my wife and it was a breath of fresh air. Also, this past Saturday I was an Official on a Nassau County Football playoff game, and about 15 minutes before game time Roger Rubin, who was there to report on the game for Sunday's Newsday, came to ask our crew how we thought the game would go. Since I knew who he was and that he has been writing SJ articles, all we ended up talking about was our team during the time we had. He is as passionate as we all are, and expects a successful season.
