Stith student assistant

 The thing that I find confussing is the timing. Yes with Branch coming in next year his minutes will be greatly reduced from the 14 he averages this year. But why not just wait to the end of the season, there are only 8 plus the BE tournament. There is probobly some other reason that we will never know.

OK so quit after the season, you don't leave your teammates high and dry. Even if he gets only 5 min. a game he was needed for those 5 min. After all the good things I have read about him I hope this is about academics and not playing time. If it was playing time and he was annoyed why would he stay with the team in any capacity?
 
 good riddance... what a joke of a d1 athlete. Norm got him a free education.... Norm got us a D2 point guard. What a deal. Glad ill never have to watch him handle the ball for another second.
 
 I do like Stith and if someone is going to leave the program better Stith then someone else, but in the back of my mind I was thinking I hope no one else transfers.

Did you predict that Stith would leave before this season ended?
 
 Everything I read about Stith points to him being a person of good charecter.I cant see him leaving midseason unless he has a good reason.
 
 Im a little nervous too w 1 recruit and only 6 players, but I think Lavin will get the job done and we have a good core.

A good core if nobody transfers or leaves for the draft. I wouldnt bet on that not happening.

If that happens the apple would be rotten to the core. Hopefully, the last bad apple has left the basket.
 
I've heard Branch is an absolute stud. Why can't our fanbase see the silver lining in anything? Stith can be replaced tomorrow by a more talented JUCO that can fill a need like shooter or a player with size.

I hope Stith stays on next season. He has the experience, and I think he can parlay his role at STJ into a big-time coaching career. 
 
 I wonder if people will continue to make excuses for the coaching staff and the subpar job theyv done this season

It's not even about the total amount of wins it's about losing players and losing commits and potentially losing some players to the draft and no new blood coming in. Right now I'm not worried about wins, I'm worried about fielding a team.
 
OK, now I'm concerned. Anytime a team loses two players like this makes me wonder what's going on behind the scenes.
 
There was a recent news article that indicated that Lavin would have a major announcment soon. I'm hoping that this is just part of that plan and the announcement is going to be something spectacular and make us loyal fans very happy.

The only "source" I have is a fellow Johnnies fan who mentioned it during one of our conversations. Sorry. I'll try to call him today and find out where he heard it.

This sounds like the mystery recruit and Cummins saving our season this year. Rumors like this get old quick.

We've heard the term "absolute stud" thrown around on this board for many years about alot of our players. maybe thats why its hard to see a silver lining. and as far as stith leaving and opening up another ship, the number of ships we have to give is not the problem.
