Can't judge by anything today, but Jones has skills, but relentless rebounding is not one of them. Stewart does seem to know the game quite well.

True about not judging anything by today, but from what Adonis showed me -- I'd never seen him play before -- comparisons to Curtis Johnson and Tom Bayne are looking silly. Adonis showed he has a soft touch, a good feel for the game, and an understanding of what his role should be. Also liked the emotion he showed on the (called off) put-back dunk he had late in the second half. Will be interesting to see how -- or if -- he develops over the course of the season.

No way he is a Bayne or Johnson for sure. Will have a challenging time this year in BE Imo, but down the road could even be a fan favorite if he works hard. Skilled for sure. Do it big guy!
@DalyDoseOfHoops: Steve Lavin on Rysheed Jordan: "He had zero rebounds at the half. That's the same amount of rebounds as a dead man." #sjubb

It's a shame at the end of the 2012-2013 season St. Thomas fired Dennis O'Donnell, their very long term coach, and not only SJU alum, but also a former cheerleader too. I'm sure Dennis will be at this game. Prior to his final season he was told that if he didn't finish .500 or better he'd be fired. In the 3rd or 4th game, he lost his best player for the season with a serious injury.
Dennis would have loved to have coached at CA. I remember mentioning his name to Tim Cluess, who remarked, "Dennis is a REALLY good coach"
Dennis' brother Jimmy, also an SJU grad and former cheerleader as well, is a long term employee in Seton Hall's AD.
How did Branch play?
How tall did Stewart look to guys in attendance? I'm honestly ready for him to get a long look at SF if he's 6'4"/ 6'5"
Henderson should redshirt, rather than wasting a year of his eligibility.
The staff really should have been firm with ADLR about not playing if he doesn't come in shape. I hope they got a full doctor's report on his heart.
Maybe there are better talent evaluators on this site than me...but I don't see any of the walkons as more than garbage time players who won't help us win anything. Jones is probably also in that category.
The team was complete crap in the first ten minutes... It was painful to see the unrecruited players at STAC hit threes while our guys were bricking them. Thankfully, they realized who they were playing and stepped it up.
Adonis is my new favorite player.

Dennis is now The AD at Cardinal Hayes
