St. John's-Georgetown, Game II Game Thread

 we couldn't get over the hump all second half...we need another option besides moe and deangelo. for those who think we will automatically be a good team next year, where is that other scoring option going to come from?

Harkless had a good game illwill but he has to get the ball to Harrison there. Recruit over the whole team but Harrison and Harkless, they are the only people to build around. I don't hate PG but he is a role player at best. We have big guys who cant rebound/score inside. I don't know how that is a recipe to win in the Big East. 
 
I would love to recruit over these kids, too bad we have lost all of our recruits.

Are you joking? We're playing the #11 team n the country with 6 players, all freshmen and are a few points behind. The dopes on these SJU boards are just coming out of the woodwork.

Come back in May after the next signing period...BEFORE the NEXT SEASON
 
Either there is no coaching going on or these kids are just not thinking. End game time management is horrendous. Dont think its the coaching........ and Pointer should either work on his shot in the off season or transfer to Michigan. It kills a team when the defense plays so far off a player that they are almost doubling everyone else.

  Branch could be one. More players means more defense like last year which was a lot of trapping and mixing it up which means more points in transition.

Pointer and Garrett can thrive in that type of environment.

so which recruit out there is definitely going to be an impact player? Dom was our highest rated recruit and he's been a bust offensively this season.

We're packing in the defense on purpose. We have to shut down interior. Can't chase shooters with only 5 guys. You really don't have a clue.

Branch is not a given...all he is is a highly rated recruit. he's not proven anything.

Honestly...none of us had heard of most of the guys we recruited last year or the guys we lost this year....Hopefully we will be happily surprised. Will reserve judgement after a full season and see who else comes on board along with Branch. Again, having a true point guard like Branch will make everyone look better.

most people saying branch is a "true pg" have never seen him play. can we calm down about him until we actually watch him suit up and hit the court? at this point he's not anymore of a true pg than greene.
