St. John's 2015 Season Tip-Off Reception

Just got in from the event. Place was packed and the atmosphere was real live! PG IV won the dunk contest - man he can get up! Hope all the recruits enjoyed the evening, the crowd and French Montana! Nice to see ol' Alumni Hall with the vibe!

Just got back. I never heard the place so loud... Virtually every seat was taken. Great touch were the glow lights that were handed out. It really made the atmosphere great. One negative...I was hoping it was Hannah Montana...not French Montana out there. I could have used some twerking.

Volume wasn't relevant. Source says blue-chippers at St. John's tonight felt the fans' love. #sjubb

Genesis Academy 2016 6'0 PG Mustapha Sadat Lawrence was at ST John's Midnight Madness tonight.

Say what you will about Lavin, but if we have any other coach who knows what would've happened to this kid

Lavin absolutely orchestrated a top notch Tip-Off.

I tip my cap.

It's worth repeating, the students were great .

It is vital to our ongoing "rebirth" as a program to get the students back involved, energetically, with this team. I remember a sold out "Alumni Hall" watching big screen TV's for that 1985 Georgetown game. Last night was promising. I hope it continues!!

Will never forget being at Bronco Charlies Restaurant at the old garden in 85' when both Cuse and Redmen fans were chanting. Even more dramatic was the Hoya - St.John's game when we were waiting for both teams to come out on the garden floor while chanting "Let's go Redmen." Those were the days.
