Sports investing

Ok.  So I am going to give a synopsis of my opinion and take on 3 of the Sportsbooks I have used so far.

They all offer new register bonuses.  All have live betting options (some more than others). But there are big differences overall in my opinion.

For new players I definitely recommend Caesar’s for their initial deposit bonus. Especially if you go big and take advantage of their match up to 3 grand.  By registering they give you $300 off the bat.  Then they match your deposit up to 3 grand.  Only need to roll over your initial deposit one time in order to withdraw.    But I don’t love their app and it logs you off very quickly.
And also their withdrawal process seems bad.  3 plus days to process etc which is ridiculous in my opinion.  I’m still waiting on my initial deposit money.

FanDuel has a decent initial deposit offer by matching up to 1000.  Their app is pretty good overall. They also offer some cash out options while games are going on which is a great addition.  One which Caesar’s doesn’t offer.  At least I didn’t notice on their site.
Fan duel is pretty quick turnaround on withdrawals many times by the next day.

Although DraftKings offers the worst of the new player sign up bonus ( 20% of your initial deposit up to 1,000 total bonus) they are hands down THE BEST Sportsbook in my opinion.  They offer so many more options to bet.  They have so many alternate lines to choose from it’s like you can create your own line for a game.  And it adjusts odds.  So for example.  If you like a dog getting 9 points so much for their money line.  You can make the line +4 with odds of +200 roughly.  It’s a great option in case your dog doesn’t win the game.  Also their live betting is amazing. Best of the 3 I’ve seen.   And DraftKings also offers the ever important cash out option on a lot of your bets.    Even their live betting you can live bet for the first half as well as the game.  I haven’t seen that before.  It just offers so much more to bet in my opinion and I’m sure I haven’t seen most of what they offer.  Plus their app interface is the best to me as well.    And although their initial bonus isn’t as high as the others, they do offer many many promos once you sign up.  I already received 2 $250 free bets after meeting their requirements.
Also, DraftKings is very good with withdrawals like fan duel by the next day.

So that’s it in a nutshell   I didn’t use the bet rivers app yet (rush street interactive ) which is the 4th book allowed at this point.   And also tomorrow bet mgm starts being allowed to operate and I see they have a match 1000 bonus like FanDuel.
Great analysis Eric, thank you. I have not joined Caesar's yet, but may do so today. I agree completely on Draftkings over Fanduel. I only use Fanduel when they offer a promo that I like, but Draftkings is my go-to site.

good write up eric. i usually do straight up bets so the in game stuff doesn’t interest me as much. it looks like i am also earning points on my caesar rewards card which is nice for some comps ac trips. i took full advantage of the caesar’s sign up bonus. already received my winnings from the niners but i haven’t tried cashing out.

anyone investing in the game tonight? I keep leaning towards the Rams fav by 3 but I could see them winning 27-24.

A big slate of Tuesday games on the schedule.  If anyone has any keen insight by all means post it.  I have my eye on about 5 games.  Still researching these games

Miami unc
Iowa state Texas tech
Ohio Miami Ohio
Maryland Michigan

and a few others

I don't normally bet anything straight up outside of football so I tried this bonus feature.. +1400 if Baylor/Oklahoma/Texas/Iowa State win. Gave it a try.

Duke, and my alcohol impaired judgement, absolutely killed me last night. Had Duke as the 3rd leg of 2 separate 3 team teasers. All my other teams had already won. When they were up mid way through the 2nd half, I could have cashed out or hedged. Feeling my oats after a few cocktails, I said to myself "F it, I'm riding with Duke". Before I could blink they went from up 8 to down 8 to tie score at the end of regulation. Again I had a chance to hedge and at least break even, but by that point I was way more than a few cocktails deep, so no way I was gonna play to break even. I'd rather lose. So I got my wish.

Love the play by play analysis!!!    And unfortunately I know the feeling as well.

Late last night I had utah state first half spread and money line as well as game spread and money line.   And had a good amount of money riding.  First half boom, up 10 at the half.  Decided to ride it out and not play the middle of the road game.  In the blink of an eye they were trailing in the second half and didn't even cover the spread for the game.  At least with the first half money line win I ended up a little between all the bets but I had my sights on the big prize lol.

Sounds like we were in similar frames of mind last night. Although mine was slightly altered lol. Anyhow my general philosophy has been to "take some profits and move on". Last night was a learning lesson. An expensive one, but hopefully I'll profit more because of it down the road. Do like the Johnnies and the over in a teaser tonight getting an extra 4 points. Will have to place through a friend though.
So ridiculous that you can bet on Seton Hall, which is a stones throw away from NY, but can't bet on Syracuse or Buffalo. If anything, there should be a distance restriction, not a state-wide restriction. Regardless, we couldn't bet on the Johnnies.

Great thought on the miles restriction.  That makes much more $en$e

One more bit of insight with having accounts with multiple betting apps is that you get to shop around.  I have noticed the lines and vig aren't always the same.  I have noticed this to a great extent on NFL prop bets where lines vary quite a bit, but you will see it all over.  Definitely worth comparing before you place a wager.

Games I am considering but need to look closer

Miss state at florida
v tech vs nc state
mercer
at east tenn state
tcu at okla state

bold teams who I am cosidering

Good luck monte.

I am going with so far
Miss state +4
mercer +4
Nc state +2
Those are game spreads. I am sure I will sprinkle in halfs and money lines

tcu at 8 still on table
