I think Rick likes Dev’s spark off the bench and will go that way.Is he going to stay as the 6th man? I think Sim should start and play like 20 minutes and Dev can play 30 and finish but Sim off the bench sort of scares me because Dev injects more energy.

Paultz what the heck!? Please don’t wish me wellDev Smith getting back into prime shape, shedding rust is so timely.

Clearly playing injured affected his offensive efficiency. Often times other injuries occur when favoring said injury. Hopefully Dev gets adequate time off and does not try to return too early. His availability is much more pertinent for the Tournament.Hope he's ok.. not how he envisioned his sr season
Whether same or opposite side, wonder if all related to initial shoulder injury.
I could picture Dev reading this (not knowing you're a nurse), and saying to himself: "Wtf does he mean he's here for me, and wtf does he want to do with my neck? oh hellz no, this guy isn't getting within 20feet of me.Dev. I’m here for you. I’m very good with necks!!!

Smith is the closest player we have to Vinnie Johnson. He is the only player off the bench at this moment that has the ability to provide a spark when things are not going well. The 4 point play against UConn a good example.I think Rick likes Dev’s spark off the bench and will go that way.
We can get it done without him, but not so sure I agree with the “plethora of players” remark. We basically have Glover/Lefty to fill in. Glover has struggled of late (and it hasn’t really been talked about, but he STILL has his shooting hand wrapped when he plays, he may not be 100%). And Lefty we’ve hardly seenHe will be fine. Bottom line though is we are fine without him right now and great shape. Let him rest, and get it done like we have been doing. We have a plethora of players and while Deivon is excellent we have numbers.
Rick has tried to coax playing time for Glover (more) and Lefty in short bursts of play before crunch time. Neither seem overwhelmed but neither have produced enough to become 1st guard off the bench should Deivon be unavailable. We can get it done without him, but not so sure I agree with the “plethora of players” remark.
