Smith Injury

I think the posts were about how important he is to this team and the importance of getting him back ASAP. If there was any negativity it was directed at the staff for playing him against Seton Hall. None of it was directed at Smith. A warrior like him is always going to want to play. It’s ip to the staff to save the player from himself in a situation like that. But, absolutely no one is down on Smith.
Bingo, Gene.

Pitino estimated that his chances of playing Saturday against Providence are between 60 percent and 70 percent.

“He’s ready to play. He’s just psychologically afraid to get hit,” Pitino said. “He’s physically ready to play. We’ve erred on the side of caution.”

Smith or Glover? Which one was Pitino referring to in the post game has become a lengthy discussion.

This is good, because I was certain people here would twisting themselves into pretzels over Pitino glowingly start the discussion about how his Kentucky team was the only team to still pound opponents even after getting up by 30. This could only mean he is going back there and leave SJU flat footed.

Pitino once again playing 3-D chess, while the rest of us haven’t even set the checkerboard up yet.
