This is a dramatic step up in competition for both Prey and Lefty.

Lefty never played professionally in Greece/Europe. Only on youth national teams and academy teams. RE lefty's decision:

Besides emerging opportunities to pursue a professional career, the Greek guard was also recruited by Virginia, Stanford, and Princeton, as noted.

“I decided to go to college in the U.S. because I want to combine basketball with academics. I know it [will] be very useful after my basketball career,” he explained in the phone interview, “It was a little tough to decide, but I think in the future, it’s going to pay off.”

Thank God we beat out those schools on academics, or at least great Greek food nearby.

My concern is that shoulder dislocations can be chronic. Would like Eric and AH to weign in, but my guess is that pt involves strengthening muscles in that area to prevent reoccurrence, and possibly surgery if that fails.

What do our trainers, rehab, and any orthopedic folks have to say?

I certainly would comment on specific injuries and potential outcomes. Not sure we have gotten a definitive diagnosis yet on smith.

Devion Smith, if you are reading this, can you comment on your injury? Inquiring minds......
 
so like I mentioned I have been asked(not by Dev)not to talk about his injury yet somehow ppl who prob should not be and are not giving full the scope of the situation are talking freely about it. I can say he is doing EVERYTHIING to get back on the court ...Reports ranging from a dislocation to a simple yet severe contusion are incorrect..He will be back and ANYBODY who says they know what percentage he will be and when that will be are lying...he will play through pain and he will heal when he heals....I know this isn't helpful but the kid is frustrated and working his a*s off so be part of this

Smith participated in shootaround today. Good sign.

Anyone trying to play doctor or doom and gloom prognosticator...or worse about the kid take a hike. Kid is dying to be back on the floor. He convinced Rick to play him against Seton Hall cause he didn't want to miss a game with his team.

Fingers crossed he's back for PC.
