Slow down...Breathe; Its Only January

I don't remember Jarvis just letting them play. Did you forget the chubby Jarvis Junior holding up the cards indicating the set plays on offense. I will give you that the team was balanced with a lot of unselfish passers who played with their heads up and cut and moved the ball - just about the only guy who loved to score more than pass was Bootsy, and he was the perfect garbage man to hang around the hoop, keep moving, and often found the ball in his hands for an easy hoop. But the team didn't freelance. And as much as the name Jarvis sickens people, the man could coach Xs and Os.

you just lost all credibility with me - as a comedian

Like most things, I am lost right now.

You'll be fine by February, so says Lavin wood. If not, there is always pitchers and catchers to look forward to. :cheer:

Not if you're a Mets fan. It's just a warning of the beatings that are coming soon..

Please don't ruin it for Mets fans so early. We've started every season 0-0 for fifty years now, tied for first.

The mets always win like 7 of their first 10 games, just so fans get a slither of hope, then they collapse the rest of the year. It's so frustrating...

Is that an accidental analogy to our basketball team?

Plus, did Bootsy play AAU ball with Barkley? Not that I recall. They meshed on day one.

I agree with most of what you said, but this statement is not true. Regardless though, there is a big difference between adding a guy to a core group that have been playing together forever, and the situation with this year's team.

I believe that Barkley, Artest, Jessie, Gray, Glover and Grant all played on the same AAU team. I believe Elton Brand was on that AAU team also and he is the only one who didn't come to St. Johns.

That's correct. According to their staff and late czar, the best team Riverside ever had. I saw a ton of their games and agree.

Didnt they win 90 games in a row, or something like that ?

I definitely remember reading a long time ago that they went 88-1 or something really close to that. I think it's safe to say if Brand had wanted to come here, we would have had a national championship.

Agree, that team was one big short .
