When you make posts like the one you just made on this site then we understand how stupid you are.

Lav and Tony Chiles loving Paree. Get us a Euro coach!

Hope you meant "Get us a Euro, coach". Not "Get us a Euro coach". I like the coach we have. :)

LOL! Commas are not my forte.
On another note, we need a deadly outside shooter. An assassin, you might say.
Hopefully, not this guy:
CNN) -- Investigators in France are hunting for a suspected serial killer after four fatal shootings with the same weapon in a Paris suburb in the past five months.

I saw a posting of rosters in a prior link but not really much content on who Coach is going there for? Is it just a meet and greet? Building foundation? Someone for 2012? I have contemplated signing up for twitter just for Coach's feed but everyone on here usually keeps this updated. Thanks.

Totally impressed by the concept of CBA!

This past Easter weekend I enjoyed watching talented boys who practice 2 or 3 times a day with an enthusiastic and completely devoted coach Rob Orellana at the international tournament in Tourcoing (France). This coach has a vision based on insight, discipline and tactics, but first and foremost he stays true to his main goal: to bring his players to the b...est college or right professional team by developing them his way.
The first game of CBA in France they faced an elite formation from the USA. This team consists of: Savon Goodman (recruited by Villanova), Aron Harisson (Kentucky), Andrew Harisson (Kentucky, Baylor), Robert Upshaw (Louisville, Georgetown), Drew Davis (South Florida). These player are top players from high schools in the US.
CBA wins this first game by 5 points! This is an extraordinary result! CBA defeats the Americans by playing a mix of a European and American style. Controlled, fundamentally sound, and intelligent basketball. The following games against, Euro-Metropole, Canada and the national team of Poland are also won by CBA. During all these games all the players of CBA got minutes and showed their talents. I don’t want to say anything about the developments during the tournament, my thoughts regarding that matter consists of assumptions and emotions and it is surely irrelevant sharing these. The final was against the American team they had beaten before. After an awesome first half CBA was up by 7 when the Americans changed tactics. All aspects that make basketball a great sport are shown. The American team is the better team the second half and won the game and tournament. Their players were treated like pop stars by the crowd. Hundreds of young French kids (mostly girls) wanted to have their pictures taken with the players.
In conclusion and my opinion:
Dutch CBA player Shane Hammink: MVP of the tournament! Mind this, the age limit of this tournament is 23. Shane is 17!
Jito Kok: Great performances the first 4 games, unlucky in the finals.
Boris Bojanovsky: Showed his potential in the finals! Great future!
Simon Krajkovic: Amazing! I had seen him previously in Kaunas, one of the best guards I have ever seen, possesses a great basketball mentality.
Oskar Reinfeld: Also showed flashes of brilliance... who is gonna stop him in a couple of years?
I am not forgetting the other players, CBA acted and played as a TEAM. Surely there are many people in the Dutch basketball world (and definitely in the world basketball scene) with more extensive knowledge of the game. The above is what I saw. Thanks CBA for a great tournament and keep up the great work. Thanks to the organizers of the Tourcoing event for a very good organised tournament.

Thank you redmannorth.

Who is Chris Stomp? That was a terrific primer for European recruiting.

Playing devils advocate here, making it sound like it was a great accomplishment for a team that plays together all year beating a team of our 16/17 year olds that just were put together a few weeks before the tournament isn't THAT impressive. Come on now. I'm glad there are good players on CBA and hope maybe Lav can grab one, however it's not like they just beat the 92 Olympic dream team

CBA also plays together just shortly. Some of the players met the first time in Sept 2011, about six months ago. Its an academy and they have several teams - some of the guys played together for the first time in France and others played two or three tourneys together before that. Nevertheless you are right when you say they have seen more of eachother prior to the French tournament than the USA squad had.

and don't get me wrong, i know that they have a great academy down there and coach is doing a terrific job with those kids..thanks for your input, it is greatly appreciated!

Guys on the MD board even commenting about how impressive Lavs is in putting in all the recruiting work - they say "He's Everywhere!" :cheer:

Any of them say where he was or who he saw?

@Dick Weiss: Just rell me there's no truth to story that st j c st lavin is on vacation in Canary Islands. Recruiting over there?

Dick is trying to say Lav better come back with an inside track on a player overseas or folks may conclude it turned into a vacation. Lav's Twitter silence has been deafening. Hope we hear the hammer hitting the rock soon.

BTW, one of the bigs Lav saw was from the
Ukraine Volodymyr Gerun who averaged 18 pts and 11 Rebs on the Ukrainian U18 team.
