I guess you quoted this tweet now because we missed out on McBrayer. I thought this was a new tweet from Lavin, which would've been encouraging cause we just lost out on a recruit. Don't see the point in this post.

Ditto. I was gonna say more, but backed off. Put it this way.... I know exactly who is behind the screenname. I'm immensely positive.

When he posted that, I thought Lavin had tweeted it moments ago, which would've been great because that shows Lavin has a plan and McBrayer wasn't a big part of it. But since he just posted an old tweet out of nowhere just shows he is posting it criticize Lavins tweet and act like the class won't be good just because he missed out on one guard. I'm all for criticizing Lav on a recruiting class when the class is all said and done, but come on, give the man a chance to shape up the class before we start acting like he tweeted propaganda or something like that cause he missed out on mcBrayer

I think we need to focus on making the NCAA tournament. However that tweet made no sense given that we have not hooked any recruits yet.

It's called coach speak, and used to generate positivity. Stop trying to derail every thread with the same nonsense.

Would some of you repeat yourselves over and over and over and over, if you were out with several folks at a bar? I doubt it. The majority would just state their opinion and move on to something else to talk about. It (repeating the same stuff) shouldn't be okay here, either. I believe most would attempt to aim for a higher sense in person.... The same should be done here on this board, as this place is a community.

Some of y'all continue to go down the rabbit hole, and try to take others down there with ya. Why continue to purposely pound the same points? Things will eventually play out in some way, shape, form, or fashion. Not inflated and tedious argumentation.

Maybe you should stop posting that you are never worried and stop telling me what to do. I want the team to make the NCAA tournament. I am not sure what you want............

I expected such. Thank you for not disappointing.

Just assume every post by him is anti-Lavin to some degree and you will be fine. Lavin has his hammer and rock and Johnnyfan and his crew have their axes, which they use to chop Lavin down with every.single.post. I actually slightly prefer the chopping down approach to Otis' style of depriving the Lavin tree of sunlight and nutrients while watering and ferilizing the Jay Wright JT3 and Wojo trees every chance he gets.

One interesting comment by Lavin was that all five seniors will graduate in December. Is the post-grad transfer waiver dead already? Let's hope so! On a positive note, they will be able to really concentrate on hoops full-time January through (hopefully) April.

Why what's the difference? It's not like you can play for 2 different teams in the same season so graduating in Dec wouldn't affect this transfer rule.

The interviewer seemed to be a big fan of Obekpa and asked the coach how he felt to have such a presence in the middle that most teams in the league don't have, but Lavin seemed to throw some ice water on it by saying that it while it was an asset, Obekpa had to mature both on and off the court. Interesting. It wasn't a knock, but it wasn't the ringing endorsement that we heard regarding Harrison's maturation last off-season. Then again, Coach seemed pretty tired and didn't really give his usual bubbly interview.

When asked what brought the turnaround in February, Coach cited Rysheed's growth. This team will really surprise, man. Anyone expecting less than 20 wins is waaaaay off even with the ridiculous schedule. 20 wins last season with three heartbreakers and we had a freshman PG who was a fraction of what he would become in February for the first half of the season.

To my dismay, Coach mentioned Dom Pointer a few times and it makes me think he will be starting. Hopefully he has grown because he was awful last year and we really suffered because of it. He wouldn't be the first senior to see everything finally click for him. I'd post more, but I have to refill my Kool-Aid.
Guess I am "waaaaay off" than, oh I'm out there Jerry! :)
