He’s interested in college basketball, has a 300k buyout and will likely be expensive to get

Great length and athleticism. Just isn’t too skilled yet.

He moves like Grant Nelson. Good burst off the bounce.

lol I meant it as Grant is one heck of a functional athlete. But I might have to walk back my comment a little. His younger videos have a few really athletic plays that stand out.

It's likely the Staff is okay with the buyout and Prey's Nil$ px, and the hangup lies with the NCAA, per usual for us.

You know I think you’re good at this. You should watch the recent stuff. Not knocking him and would be thrilled to grab him but just don’t see anything that stands out as elite. Good to very good footwork and good ball handling but not so much in the dribbling/break a guy down sense. Don’t see a perimeter shot that would develop in time for us to see the benefits and not sure what his best position would be in college. His height and footwork could be a big threat vs forwards but is there gonna be enough space for him alongside a college 5? Or could he handle being a college 5 himself?

Now 6 years from now? He very well could be the best pro prospect among the elite college forwards we’ve been mentioned with. To me that’s more about those guys pro prospects than it is his, but you could be right and I could be wrong. I’d rather the elite college guy and you may even agree.

There were some drives where the defender would cut him off and he'd counter with a spin to the other side...and it wasn't the muscle memory stuff everyone is working on now where you know you are taking 2-3 dribbles and then spinning out. For a 6'10 17 year old (at the time) that is just crazy stuff. And he checks all the big man boxes.

I don't disagree on the breaking a guy down off the dribble, but is that really a weakness for a kid that big? I don't want guys that big trying to do too much...especially in college. Attack a bad closeout....take a bad big man when there is space...that's about it. His shot looks very good to me and, more importantly, the way he get into it. I have no clue what the #s say there, but my eyes tell me he'll be shooting at a high clip day 1.

He'd play the 5 in college.

This kid would be one of the top 50-75 players in college IMO and top 25 if he stayed 2 years.

Here’s the issue with this whole Ruben Prey stuff. The only one to confirm our actual contact with him is Y2 and his reliability is highly questionable. The guy in this post used the term “rumored” which for all we know he could have seen it from this site. Braziller, barely mentioned it so he doesn’t sound like he’s updated on it and the only solid info we know is that Pitino visited him last year. I think you are all setting yourselves up for another disappointment. I would wait till some solid info came forward that’s published. And I don’t mean the info from fellow posters who admittedly are having a hard time with their accuracy lately.
