SJU Power Forward Portal Targets

He can shoot. He’s got a pure release and really gets everything lined up as well as anyone I’ve seen that size. And I like the efficiency #s and attempts…clearly doesn’t force it.

BUT…don’t you want the real thing out there? Watkins is a legit perimeter player that can hurt the opposition in multiple ways.
No I’ll take Watkins over anyone not named Omier. But gladly take Brazile

Are kids who lost their final year in 2020 to ineligibility going to come back five years later to play?

Come on, Matt: Use that Rolodex and find us a 26-year-old ready to beat the crap out of skinny 18-year-olds!
Maybe but if kids already turned pro I assume they can't come back now...

What it refers to is anyone who was denied immediate eligibility during that time period and sat a year.

So it sounds like those kids can get a free year. I don't know how many kids that impacts.

But again it is SPECIFIC to the transfer rule. Ledlum and Dingle were never impacted by the transfer rule in terms of why they did not play in 20-21.

It has nothing to do with them.

It would also require the NCAA to issue an additional year of eligibility to certain qualifying college athletes who were previously deemed ineligible to play for any length of time because of the transfer rule.

The answer is yes considering the money these kids are getting.

At this point, and going forward, I would put much more effort into recruiting foreign players with D1 upper echelon talent since American players seem intent on gaming the NIL system. Since college players are no longer amateurs, there may be a few starting level players in the $250,000 range rather than an American kid asking half a million to transfer from his 3rd school.

Money is always the determining factor and the number one factor for all these kids. If money was the same, which it never is, then maybe coaching will come into it, or position play. Anyone who tries to tell you otherwise is FOS. With a recent $25,000,000 gift that Memphis received, they just became a factor ( while never mentioned before) for Watkins recruitment.

Not judging at all but most, with or without prudent advise will blow it all in a short time. Look at those who have already bought themselves high end luxury cars. Wait till the tax bill comes due.

Sorry, this response was meant for Demo.
