Losing him to UK would be one thing, but please don't lose him to Danny & UConn.
The numbers are insane...had a kid(role player) who thought we could get around 150...we have had 3 zooms and its up to 350K but some the higher ones being reported are inflated
1) Dent to UCLA was done in Jan....and its NOT 3.5m
2) Silas isn't getting the money being floated either....Dont know what SJ will come in at but my guess is above Uconn and below Pope...RIck really likes his versatility but heard this was uphill....but kids showing up and heard Matt thinks they are in it....think Talik will play a role here
3) Bhop....heard nothing has changed so....
4) Aside from pg and European kid looking for a 3/4 with length and range. Heard Sellers floating around but think have eye on a longer guy whose not in portal
5) If they miss out on Silas they have been talking to 2 pg still not in....was right originally with no Elliot and no DJ
HATE ALL THIS RJ GARBAGE. SO many of the stories are FAKE floated by people in "the know"...selfish, bad teammate....disappointing some, one particular would hate on a kid that did so much for SJ. Ironically the big in season issue was between 2 players...neither were RJ.

Stanford was originally going to release acceptance letters on April 1. Luckily got them out a few days early.

Sanon + Hopkins + solid PG who can shoot + shooting 2/3 type + returnees Rick wants = a team that may not have the 24-25 outstanding record, but potentially a dangerous second week Dance team.
Last yr RP noted need to put a rabid defensive team on the floor. This off season he was clear that getting better shooters while preserving a solid defense was a must. Doing the later is a challenge, but Pitino is quite capable of achieving that as we all know.

Sounds great. So as of today, we lose Richmond, Luis, Scott and Smith.
Incoming are Sanon and Hopkins.
That means we have TWO open spots. Assuming one PG at least needed.
We also don’t know if others will be portalling.
I think the sentiments will parallel with this year's Knicks team. Fans have complained, including myself, of the team all year. Mainly because of high expectations, and also missing the defensive/gritty identity.
Only difference is, we'll be primed for a longer postseason run.
If we can actually keep 9 players from last year, that's pretty amazing in the portal age. Continuity is huge. Also expect many of those players to improve, especially the younger guys.
So replacing Kadary-Smith-Scott-Luis isn't easy, but Sanon/Hopkins is a pretty good start and excited to see who the remaining two are. Actually think we'll be better next season. Maybe not record-wise, but potential.
