Don’t bet on that
Welcome to the mind of Seton Hall faithful, where a Pitino-led St John’s occupies more real estate than the millionaires own in Bergen County. I don’t buy that for a second. I think it’s paranoia from a fan base that is constantly paranoid about various programs like Nova, Uconn, Rutgers and St Johns.

The cream usually rises to the top. They had that PG all year and he played pretty well against St John’s
He wasn’t nearly the player he replaced Malachi Smith and he went from a starting roll early in the season to playing his way on the bench and they went without a point guard.

Maybe - but not in the offense Pitino wants to run. He wants a rim defender and rim runner at the 5 and then 4 out. No room for two true bigs on the floor at the same time in his offense.
A Stretch four is exactly someone who can play away from and face the basket playing on the perimeter. I have no idea if Holmes can be that guy but I do know he has some perimeter skills but it would be nice if he did.

Let’s dream for a second. Do you think Holmes can play the 4 ?

Just dreaming. What about 2 scenarios. I’m not saying this is happening ! What if we held the 4 spot for Zuby with Holmes declaring and he’s coming for $ after. Again we are just guessing/dreamimg. Or what if you were able to get a 1 year transfer 4 who would be first team but start automatically. Holmes or the other. What would you choose. And Zuby stays he’s basically getting a lot of their backup minutes for 1 year
That was as clear as Timothy Leary note after dropping LSD 😇

I know we all want to win fast but as history has shown, teams that brought in 7 or more players from the portal didn’t dance. I hope coach is looking at some players with at least two years of eligibility left so he’s not doing this big haul every year.
Utah State had 13 out of 16 players this year and none of their returnees scored a point for them the year before and they are dancing (not sure how many came through the portal)

Last year Kansas State made the final four with 8 or 9 new players coming from out of the portal.
