What would be your ideal mix in allocating our funds? There is no chance we get Cliff and Holmes. That wouldn’t even be the best allocation of the funds.

His exact words last year. I’m one of you I grew up on Redmen.comThanks mjm.. glad Matt is back.
Best part is that he's homegrown. Team manager & alum. Can't buy that.

Holmes could play a stretch 4. Look at his stats. 20.3 PPG, 8.4 RPG, 2.6 APG, 54.7% FG%, 38% 3PFG%, 2.1 BPG and 71.3% FT%. He's listed as a 6'10" 235 pound forward on ESPN's website. Holmes would fill the power forward position that I think we need. A bigger and more productive player than Ledlum in my opinion.I don't see the point of Cliff AND DaRon (even if hypothetically that was possible). You only need one, plus Ejafor. Then Maker is your third center.
You do need a PG. If you believe in Simeon as a legit PG, then Joseph is fine as the other one but then you need a legit scorer at the 2. If you think Sim is more of a 2, then Joseph is a good fit for the Alleyne role but he is not who I would want as my starting PG unless there is a ton of offense around him.
Considering that Pitino is clearly not looking for a ton of offense from the 5 spot, if you have a pass-first PG (my own preference) then you had better have good scoring from the other 3 spots.
Not bad especially not that long ago but in a faster paced game Yaxel faster and more athletic do it all player would be an even better fit with Cliff O. Guy can dream right?Holmes could play a stretch 4. Look at his stats. 20.3 PPG, 8.4 RPG, 2.6 APG, 54.7% FG%, 38% 3PFG%, 2.1 BPG and 71.3% FT%. Maybe - but not in the offense Pitino wants to run. He wants a rim defender and rim runner at the 5 and then 4 out. No room for two true bigs on the floor at the same time in his offense.Holmes could play a stretch 4. Look at his stats. 20.3 PPG, 8.4 RPG, 2.6 APG, 54.7% FG%, 38% 3PFG%, 2.1 BPG and 71.3% FT%. Let’s dream for a second. Do you think Holmes can play the 4 ?I don't see the point of Cliff AND DaRon (even if hypothetically that was possible). You only need one, plus Ejafor. Then Maker is your third center.

Just dreaming. What about 2 scenarios. I’m not saying this is happening ! What if we held the 4 spot for Zuby with Holmes declaring and he’s coming for $ after. Again we are just guessing/dreamimg. Or what if you were able to get a 1 year transfer 4 who would be first team but start automatically. Holmes or the other. What would you choose. And Zuby stays he’s basically getting a lot of their backup minutes for 1 year

But here’s the thing…… If Holmes and Brea are so good, how come Dayton only finished third (and lost several games at seasons end) in the A 10?This would be awesome. Just watched this kid earlier today and he can stroke the ball from 3.
Maybe because they lost their starting point guard at the beginning of the season and had to go with a 5’9 low level transfer. But here’s the thing…… If Holmes and Brea are so good, how come Dayton only finished third (and lost several games at seasons end) in the A 10?
