He had some pretty mediocre games in the ACC and got a lot more minutes than he deserved because Miami was pretty bad this year.Disagree. 10/3.5/3.5 in the ACC is looking to at least be a big part of the rotation.
Unlike last year, we should also remember this. Our staff + Matt had all year scouting guys and hearing who's available. If they find him this intriguing to get him on a visit the first weekend after the season, we should have confidence in his fit + talent level
I would feel a heck of a lot better if I was confident of the status of Luis and Taylor before I close my eyes. For instance, if Dunbar and Brea joined those two and the 5th spot went to a high level scorer, I’d gladly close my eyes and wait for the start of the season. Guess that would leave our PF spot a little thin though![]()
I’m sure you mean mediocre stat lines. Who doesn’t have games like that? We aren’t going to bring in exclusively all league level players. He had some pretty mediocre games in the ACC and got a lot more minutes than he deserved because Miami was pretty bad this year.
On the bright side, there is a similarity to Walter Clayton......they are both 6'2"
Yes, our fans are at the delusional portion of the NIL season. The comparisons I’m seeing from our fans are laughable. You want a comp to a former player? Rasheem Dunn with a jumper.thoughts? we excited about Bensley Joseph?
I like him but I would like to see more movement from him without the ball (the lack of movement could be due to the offense they run) and better effort on defense.

The kid played on a final four team and an elite 8 team and is meant for this style of play unlike Alleyne — who we are all inevitably picturing with the similar resumes.
He played 22 minutes against UConn in the Final Four and shot 3-6, 2-2 from 3, and 2 assists to 0 turnovers…and we are already trying to put him on the bench![]()
Kid’s got a 3-head instead of a forehead…that’s how committed he is to deep shooting. Zone defenses and male pattern baldness have no chance against him.
Holmes is a stud… him next to Cliff next year… one can dream!!! Also, Zuby would get plenty of time backing up either at the 4 or 5.I like him but I would like to see more movement from him without the ball (the lack of movement could be due to the offense they run) and better effort on defense.
I really like his teammate in the middle.
Gotta get Koby and Glen on the case.Holmes is a stud… him next to Cliff next year… one can dream!!! Also, Zuby would get plenty of time backing up either at the 4 or 5.
Was at the same game kranmars. He was very steady that game. Not spectacular but steady.Funny but when I was at the Hofstra game vs Stony Brook I was asking Hofstra fans about “Dunbar” and they didn’t seem to know anything. Wasn’t until later in game realized his name was Dubar and might have been why I got the answers I did (either that or it was just that no one wanted to talk to me).
The much bigger problem this year was reliably terrible defense from the guard position. He helps that from day 1.I don't see the Dunn comparison.
Bensley would be a nice get. But he wouldn't solve for the issue of reliable scoring from the guard positon. I don't think it's delusional to say we should be aiming higher for a starter.
I do think defense was the primary issue of the season. But we were also a team that would go on brutal offensive stretches where we literally didn't score for five, six minute stretches at a time, which cost us against Creighton/Marquette/Seton Hall. I actually really like the signing! The much bigger problem this year was reliably terrible defense from the guard position. He helps that from day 1.
Scoring can be something we build cumulatively. We can get a healthy share from really good defense too. We got next to no easy points from defense this year unless the other team was completely careless.
I agree.I don't see the Dunn comparison.

Bamafan posted about attending the game, not me.Was at the same game kranmars. He was very steady that game. Not spectacular but steady.
