Definitely both. Dunlap has really long arms too.

I think you play Luis at center, and Watkins and Scott at the forward spots in a small lineup. Richmond at the 2 affords Pitino that luxury.

That look will effectively be our third center in place of a 4 that can play some 5.

Switch everything, gang-rebound, press, and run. I’m in. 6.2 free throw attempts per game from Watkins is more than our entire backcourt combined last season.
Wild.

Just looking at our starting one through four last year:
Jenkins: 2 FTA
Dingle: 1.8 FTA
Luis: 3.1 FTA
Ledlum: 2.1 FTA

This year's:
Smith: 3.3 FTA
Richmond: 4.6 FTA
Luis: 3.1 FTA

Adding Watkins will make this a refreshing difference.

One, I am not putting Watkins into any lineup projection until he is officially signed. Been burnt too many times this off season.

Two, I think we are in a traditional lineup 60-70% of the time. But we will definately have small line up packages, depending on match ups, in game flow, and foul issues. I think Zuby and Vince get most of the time at Center, and Maker at times. Then at times, we will even smaller line ups without those guys. No idea who plays center. RP’s 4 out offense, even 5 out, makes it easy on the offensive end. It will be challenging on the defensive end.

It's like finding out Manute Bol was only 7'5"

The only way Luis gonna play center is if only he can play in sneakers and other team plays in bare feet.
Kalbrenner only 6-2 without sneakers

This sounds great but keep in mind the year prior to SJU:

Dingle 6.0 FTA
Ledlum 5.1 FTA
Luis 3.5 FTA
Taylor 4.9 FTA
Daniss 3.3 FTA

I’d have no problem rolling with Ledlum if he were available. Love the kid and think he would be fantastic. That said, I think it’s folly to prioritize somebody whose status is so uncertain. I assume staff is making contingent plans, but Watkins would be a monster get!
Agreed. I think the timing works well as (hopefully) we’ll have clarity on ledlum around the time Watkins turns his focus from draft to college. Either way, I have to assume the priority is Watkins (or someone else) since pitino must know there’s probably a <25% chance ledlum gets another year.

Sense Ledlum is still priority PF
This is being heard in a NY court.
The NCAA is currently involved in actions that makes it look like a covert co-conspirator with the P5 to redefine the power structure of the NCAA at the detriment of 75% of its member institutions.
I wonder if they even venture to argue against Ledlum and Dingle for fear of being interrogated about the swamp they are now choosing to swim in.

NCAA has already filed its opposition papers. Not backing away.
