Reading between the lines in heavy rain in a gusty wind, sounds like we may well have both Dingle & Ledlum return to the team.
Oops, there goes the store list...lol.

All for that if it happens. Two great character guys and leaders with a sense of loyalty and 'team'.
How rare.

Once again a packed roster, so I would worry about losing one of Wilcher, Glover, Lefty.

Always trade-offs.

We won't lose Wilcher, unless he's so disappointed that he's willing to redshirt an entire year. I actually still think he can get 18-20 mpg even with Dingle in the fold. Also seems like Lefty was a Greece-Rick connection, so I don't know how many other schools he was considering.

Nuance is not a collective strength of this forum.

Players have strengths and weaknesses.

The key is fit. E.g., Richmond has a strong handle and can create but can’t shoot…Scott can shoot but is not a great at creating. He will need guys like Smith and Richmond to set him up and, in return, his shooting ability spaces the floor for them to create.
I think this is the first time we've gotten some seriously proven players out of the portal (at least in a long time). Last year our guys were all stepping up a level from lower D1 programs up to Big East Basketball, so it was wrong to have over the top expectations. Prior to that the most meaningful guys I could think of coming in were Marvin Clark and Justin Simon. While these guys played limited minutes in their old schools, they played them for bigger programs and that really helped them come in here and become starters and contributors from day one. FYI, I don't count Andre because, I mean, come on.....

I agree that in general the board does overhype incoming freshman and every transfer we get; I remember hearing that Vince Cole was the next MJ and Stef Smith was the next Steph Curry. This year, though, it feels like with Richmond and Smith we have players that have proven that they can play against high level talent. There is no reason to question that these two guys individually, but we do have to hope that coach can get them to play together. The talent is there to get excited and, on paper, this feels like a better team than we had last year as long as the overall athleticism we'll put on the court makes up for the lack of size.

Not going to speculate about who might want to leave. If the staff is being patient, I certainly can do the same. We'll know about Ledlum & Dingle soon enough.

The 1 bright spot of this sju portal thread is even no matter how many side threads get spun off this thread is steamrolling to 350 pages for Sir Eric whether we get a last recruit this week or not

Somewhere he is shedding a tear of joy and Pryor to Arkansas and maybe Mitchell to us maybe even 375 if Mitchell takes a week or 2 to commi

Porter announcing today for Ark it seems

Sorry. We are closing in on 350. Btw, who is on the radar besides Mitchell and awaiting the decision on the Ledlum/Dingle lawsuit? Thanks!!!
Ps. Would it be a good idea to have both Chris/Dana on the roster for team chemistry purposes?

Just a thought but if Mitchel is truly interested in the Johnnies, could he be waiting for the outcome of the Ledlum situation?
I think you may be right. I would love to have both Ledlum and Mitchell. That’s a very diversified roster. What complicates things is the very impressive affidavit from Dingle on the lawsuit. I truly believe that Ledlum and Dingle are special people. I’ve met Chris and he is a terrific person. It’s a tough navigation for Coach Rick. Thank goodness we have Coach.
