SJU Portal Targets

Assuming Kadary commits, I'd be surprised if the Forward target for the last spot is not a stretch 4 that can space the floor. The lack of shooting is a real concern with this roster especially with two ball dominant guards that need space to operate with their dribble. I don't know who, if anyone, is available that can be a stretch 4 at the BE level but can't see how adding another low volume shooter would work

Would be exciting to run him out there, but having PF manned by essentially two SFs (pick any two of the ones we have) puts a lot of pressure on Ejiofor. Looks like we may be trying slightly more traditional PF route.

Understand the well might be going a bit dry if KR commits. I would suggest going after a secondary level PF for depth and can be interchangeable with Scott at PF based on matchups. You play a team that has a Karaban type at PF then Scott is fine there. Just add someone to matchup against teams that send two sides of beef out there, even though those types of teams are fewer and further between nowadays.

Well, let's be ultra-conservative and say Repole's net worth is publically inflated and he is not actually worth $1.6B but $500M.

And let's say his annual return on his wealth is a paltry 3% - again being ultra-conservative.

That means he's getting returns of $15M in passive income.

Let's say he's bad with taxes too and gives 40% of it to Uncle Sam. That's $9M per year in what is more-or-less play money.

I'm not telling anyone how to spend their dough. But Repole could support the STJ payroll a few times over.
Exactly. 10 mill is pennies to someone with 1.6 bill.

Listen to the man himself, don't worry about positions. lol

6-10 Pope
6-10 McCarty
6-8 Antoine Walker
6-5 Anderson
6-1 Delk

Ron Mercer was 6th man
Muhammad was backup C
Sheppard was designated three point shooter

Was his first championship
1 Huge size
2. All made the pros
3. They all played a position designated role

Just saying lol

I feel like we’ve got 2-3 of these guys already in Scott, Luis, and possibly Dunlap. We have virtually no strength 2-4. Pitino made comments about same issue this year. I would think any 4 is 225+ lbs.

Could he be talking about Dingle and Ledlum?
I think Rick is a betting man and believes that they will both be eligible! The NCAA has had an awful legal track record lately and I also think that our guys will win this battle. Personally, I can't believe that the NCAA is actually fighting this case, they have already permitted over a thousand players to play an extra fifth year, why waste your time and money fighting a legal battle for just a few Ivy league players. Allowing them a fifth year of eligibility is not going to open up a can of worms!
