Soriano had lead feet. Looks like Cliff is a much better athlete. Quicker, more springy etc.

Omoruyi is a prototype center for what Pitino wants (unlike Joel, who was just a poor system fit). Between him and Zuby we would be set at the 5 and could turn attention to other positions.

Obvious runs court better, rebounds & blocks so to me upgrade, don’t need scoring if all pieces come together

Agreed. I loved Soriano, but not a system fit.
Don’t forget Maker as well. He’s rail thin and a project but agile and can block shots and rebound. We def would be set with those 3 at C.
If we move Zuby to the 4, we could even have more room for a Booker or someone else.
Exactly him and Maker will make a big difference with back end of the press...
I’ve always been a big fan of Kadary but I’m not sure he’s the prototypical lead guard for pitino and built to defend the whole length of the court.

I don’t expect much out of Maker this year. Would be great if he had a quality center to learn from.
This coming year, 2024-25 would be the extra COVID year.
Depth. He can block shots though and will be valuable to spell other guys, eapecially with the defense and pressing we do.
Heard he was likely gone from SHU will test NBA but if not will transfer.

Exactly. Not expecting 10 pts 5 rbs 2 blocks per game from him this year but he gives them 5 fouls and someone who can block shots.
Will go thru freshman growing pains but he can help.
