SJU Portal Targets

+100. Richmond would be the Joel Soriano of PGs for Pitino. Dug McDaniel a better fit (just from current portal options, as an example)
I’m not ready to say it couldn’t work, hell smart talented players who can pass can fit most places, just that there are better fits like you mentioned. Although McDaniel comes with a ton of baggage.

The Kentucky guys in the discord are saying they'll be in on Cliff, but timing could be tough with NCAAs. The Rutgers asst Knight (lead recruiter for Cliff) is someone they said has been connected to an asst job there.

Nothing's easy here!
No worries. This guy is concentrating on a new chicken recipe, no time to check out the Portal yet...

Heard he was likely gone from SHU will test NBA but if not will transfer.

Never heard his name associated with SJU,
He's a good player for sure, but at his age and with his skill-set, I don't see why he would return to college unless he had no attractive professional options (overseas, D-league, etc). The way he plays he won't develop what he needs to develop at the collegiate level, I don't think, and would benefit from going against professionals.

Also agree that I'm not sure he and Pitino are a fit. He doesn't shoot it all from the outside and is more of a half court, pick your spot in the open court, "slow mo" type of lead guard. He also notoriously can be a difficult kid to deal with apparently, and not sure how that flies with Pitino either.

Would Otega Oweh be on our radar? That guy is huge for a guard and from NJ. Huge start to season but faded

If we move Zuby to the 4, we could even have more room for a Booker or someone else.
I loves me some Zuby, been on him all year, and he made the biggest leap from the start of the season to the finish...but his offense would have to take a quantum leap to play him at the 4 IMO. Unless we have 3 NBA level players on the floor with him and Cliff/Maker.

I only say that because Rick alluded to making Zuby a 4/5 and expanding his shot. I find it very iffy myself.
