A few notes

-- A commitment announcement is expected from a center in coming days. Cannot post name at moment.

-- Aaron Scott decision could come by Wednesday. St. John's, Memphis and Oklahoma.

-- Forward Dillon Mitchell of Texas and PG Deivon Smith of Utah are major targets, among others. This is all fluid, of course. One note on Smith: Mother is from Brooklyn and there are connections to the coaching staff.”

Unless Smith or Luis develop a consistent 3 point shot this off-season I don’t know how a lineup of Smith, Luis, Mitchell and Zuby/Vince is going to score in the half court even with a shooter in that last spot. All of those players are very good individually but together they would be pretty easy to guard

Smith was 40% from 3 on 71 attempts lasts year.

Is 40% from 3pt not good enough? I think the staff would have to trust his leap was real last year. Also, Pitino has said Wilcher was the teams second best three point shooter last year + Dunlap.

Still think we would be in the market for one more three point shooting guard anyway.

Even if we get the Utah kid we’ll need a solid third guard on this team and am sure Pitino knows that.
I agree but Brea played the 3 last year and think that’s what will continue to happen wherever he goes.

We do have Glover coming in and from what I've read seems like a a pretty good contributor for a freshman but he's still a freshman, as I've said so many times before we got Ricky P, I trust him 💯 and we do need another veteran guard as well...... Go Johnnie's!

With the lack of shooting elsewhere we’ll likely need him to double that volume. Big ask for a 5th year kid that has averaged less than 1 made 3 per game in his career
Want to make it clear I’m not anti Smith in any way. I think he’d be a great pickup. This is moreso about Mitchell at the 4 which would already have three starters (Luis, Mitchell, Zuby) that don’t threaten the defense with 3 point shooting
