I’m on the discord and I can’t find most of these posts by Trilly. What’s an easy way to find them?

Top right is the search bar. I always type in "from: trillydonovan" and you'll get only his posts showing up. The search bar is honestly a great tool in general to find specific things in there. I sometimes search "st. john's" and "pitino" to see what others are saying, or a guy's name (e.g. aaron scott) we're targeting.

I'd also make sure to subscribe to the "trilly-intel", "daily-updates", and "potential partial list" channels as well.

Discord is a mess but you get used to it. lol

The thing that doesn't make sense about it though is Pitino could get a very good idea about a player in just a couple hours of watching film. When a player becomes enough of a target that he'd get a visit then I can't see how Pitino didn't vet him through his own film watching. But the fact that Kriisa is a legitimate target gives me pause on that, because I can't believe he has watched this kid play and thought he would be a good fit.

Have been confident Pitino and staff would put together a solid roster that would be better than this year's team but with Cliff potentially slipping away and a potentially unvetted Kriisa coming aboard I'm starting to get a bit concerned. Not panicked or worrying yet, but definitely concerned

Krissa seems like a solid offensive player and adds a lot of shooting to the back court, I guess if you team him with an elite rim protector (eg cliff) it may cover both players deficiencies enough. The combo makes some sense I guess

I think the Trilly exchange is more about, did they see him play defense on the film -- not if they watched him.

Either way, coaching staff, 100% watched him. Would be insane to say otherwise.

But if you were to tell me a guy like Matt A or someone of that stature hasn't dissected his film enough to see him play quality D/admit that to him, I'd also believe that. He is horrendous on D.

We have a hall of fame coach and a good staff. They are not offering transfers who they don’t think will make us better. If Pitino likes him and brings him aboard I’ll trust him over our amateur scouts. Next few weeks will be fun if we just let it play out a bit.

I don’t either but this one is just mind boggling to me. I would have thought that this is a weird fit regardless but it’s especially weird given how the first new player Pitino might bring in after publicly attacking his players’ lack of lateral quickness on defense is a guy that can’t stay in front of a fire hydrant. Maybe Pitino thinks an elite shot blocker would erase the defensive issues on the perimeter but that’s a big gamble to take.

His obscene turnover rate contradicts some of this.

I don’t want to trash the kid constantly and there will be times he does very good things on the court. He just is the opposite of a lot of things Pitino looks for in players

Yup totally agree. He’s a talented player but just a weird fit. Feels more like somebody we’d target with Mike Anderson. Obviously have nothing but faith in Pitino but a head scratcher to me that apparently we turned down Bensley Joseph and now are turning the heat up on Krissa.

We have at least 10 legit targets with more on the way. We have several visits upcoming starting tomorrow with more on the way. Staff is working their butts off shooting at moving targets, playing whack a mole etc. Krissa, Amari, Trey, Cliff, Scott etc. We're in good hands...just need a little patience which none of us has.

Relatively small sample size but if you watch Kriisa’s three NCAA games with Zona, they were pretty bad (including 3-24
from three). I’m not a fan but if we get him, hope I’m completely wrong.

Since I have absolutely no control over who will be on our roster next season, I am just going to sit back, relax and let Coach Pitinio and his staff do their jobs.
