Simple Question…. If Anderson is retained, where does everyone stand?

Speaking of MCNPA…he is a great (and positive) poster,,,where has he been?
He's still around we texted each other last week on our bdays. He's just busy with life right now and moved up to New Hampshire a while ago he used to live near me. He's beaten up by this season too

And his personality here is exactly how he is in person. All time great guy

Isn't it primarily that Anderson's season was wrecked by one player.

Most of us felt, at the time that he was the right pick and we were almost
euphoric about it

Anderson had to give him a chance and a half as he had such
a great reputation.
Looking ahead,Anderson got a 4* Storrs, a
Soriano and showed us a talented recruiting team
Next year already has a 4* talent and maybe more.
Be careful what you wish for !

In fact, if you go back and look at posts from last spring, you will see several that noted that CMA's future would hinge on how Curbelo fit in, both with respect to the fit with Posh and Curbelo in general. Obviously that has not worked out. Frankly, the idea that Posh should have to adjust his game to accommodate Curbelo was always crazy. Posh was BE co-defensive player of the year and frosh of the year while Curbelo was sixth man of the year (not good enough to start) and there was no comparison in their sophomore years. You will never convince me that Posh's falloff this year isn't directly related to how CMA handled or didn't handle bringing Curbelo into the equation.
Putting aside who is the better dribbler, passer, shooter, there is just no question who is the better ballplayer and teammate.

On the topic of support for change..;Don’t recall who created it, but recall a funny video back in the Norm days…think it had a German army vibe..it was hilarious
Marillac just sent me the video ! It was Lavin. I’ll put it up tomorrow once I figure out how ( he sent it through Facebook )

Ok I just got through the whole video. I made a mistake. It's not he funniest post in redmen.com history it's the funniest post in internet history. Tomorrow at noon it will deserve it's own thread. We all need the laugh

That was the funniest thing ever posted. I forget if it was Norm or Mullin. Marillac posted that video. If someone still has that it would be hilarious to see again
This is the video I was asking about in the thread about missing posters!!!!

I forget which vid you were asking for. This is Lavins last year and Marillac made a video from a hitler movie with subtitles

Can we get more wrestling posts here?

Here is my wrestling story: i attended high scool with Jim “Hacksaw” Dugan“

Haksaw was a good athlete. He was a blue chip high school football recruit and NYS wrestling champ. He did not distinguish himself on the academic side. For football he was recruited by all of the top college programs and decided to attend $MU during $MU’s payola era which eventually lead to SMU receiving the NCAA “death penalty” for 2 seasons. Hacksaw was All Southwest Conference first team as an offensive tackle for his Sophomore, Junior and Senior years but was injured his senior season. Allegedly he was paid for each “pancake” he accomplished during a game. Hacksaw was headed for the NFL draft before tearing his knee. He tried Canadian football but was not his old self. With his football career ended he returned to his home in Glens Falls NY where he worked security before gong to wrestling school and becoming a star in the WWE.

I made application to St Johns in 1968 but was initially turned down due to poor SAT scores. They gave me a 2nd chance by accepting me into the School of General Studies where I performed well and went onto graduate from the College of Business Administration. I remember how proud I was to be able to say I graduated from St Johns and I still mention it with pride when I am asked where did you attend college! I went onto own a small bit highly profitable financial services firm which I still work at today! I am not embarrassed to say that I did very well financially! I owe much of that to St Johns!
so if you ask me would I ever abandon our Johnnies the answer is Hell No!

Anderson has clearly underachieved two consecutive seasons. He has not made a post season tourney (baring a miracle BE Champ) for four straight years. Anyone who is still on board with him is either a relative, close friend and certainly not a Johnnie fan. Heck he didn’t even fare as well as non coach Mullin, and didn’t have close to Lavin’s success. Keeping Anderson would be a travesty.

Anderson has failed mainly because year after year he has one of the worst half court offenses in college basketball. The players didnt seem to have any direction and his coaching during time outs was limited to “play tough” and “ hit the boards hard” suggestions. Grammar school CYO coaching.
I can’t understand why Cragg hasn’t demanded a half court offensive specialist be brought in to assist in the coaching.

Because coach wouldn't listen to him anyway. Only fair that CMA gets to pick his staff that he will sink or swim with. Not blaming the rest of the staff because you can't help if you aren't listened to, but the ship has pretty much sunk.
