SHAMORI PONDS DRAFT PROJECTION & SIMON ???
5'11 without shoes. Now we can stop moaning about McGriff's height.
He is?!!!? Great!!!
Question: Why the heck would a 5-11 kid list himself to be 'shorter' than that?
'That' I don't get. Lol.

Or start understanding why most of his trips to the hoop this season ended badly.

Makes you wonder about Lovett’s height, as he always looked shorter than Ponds

Which means he’ll be listed at 6’1. Just like at sju.

LoVett measured 5'10 without shoes. In USA players heights are always listed with shoes it seems.

My pediatrician never measured me with my shoes on. Seems like a stupid thing to do.
9.8% body fat....higher than anyone else there other than Naz Reid who was 14%.
I prefer to take this as Sha$ being one on the more buoyant players in the draft.

If it was the 70’s, Sha$ would be listed as 6’4”.

I think this thread indicates how disappointing the Mets are this year. And also the bizarre obsessions of members of Redmen.com (btw, guilty as charged).

Aside from his agility, jumping stats...

Ponds only shot 30% from 3 in his two scrimmages (2-7 and 1-3).

Good assist # with a few nice passes and steals, but also more turnovers than he probably wanted.

Hope he really impressed some team between workouts and combine.

Latest Sport's Illustrated NBA Mock Draft has Shamorie going in the 2nd Round to the BOSTON CELTICS with the 51st pick. He'll move up or down depending on how his individual workouts & interviews with NBA Teams go. The ball is in his hands. Wish him well.

I, too, wish Shamorie well but would be surprised to see him on am opening day NBA roster
Shamorie is scheduled to work out for the Warriors tomorrow
Would love for it to happen but it'll be tough. Quinn Cook is a free agent, but when KD walks, there will be money to pay him.

May go late in 2nd if at all? Questions about his athleticism, height, and shooting 30%? You guys are just being negative and bashing a kid. Obviously I'm joking, just trying to show how silly it looks when people go off emotion and ignore facts. I want Ponds to jump 10 ft high, shoot 100% from 3, 100% FG, and average 20+ PPG in the NBA...I wish the best for him, but we can be realistic...no reason to use words like "bashing" it just is what it is. My vertical is approximately 3 inches on a good day when I don't have tendinitis in my knees.

This is my point exactly, Mike. I think that objectivity on strengths and weaknesses of his game are fair. I think discussing his effort, attitude, motivation, and diet are somewhat out of bounds since they are wildly subjective, none of anyone's business, and at best an impression or second hand observation or worse.
