Seton Hall, Wed., Feb. 1, 8:30p, CBSSN

I am a Holy Cross guy so saw a lot of Molloy back then (same years as Werdann). To this day I think Ralph James was the best player they had. That was one stacked team.
I’m a Molloy guy,’71 in the Kevin Joyce & Brian winters days.
saw a lot of billy Schaefer those years playing for Cross.
had the pleasure of reminiscing HS years with Bill 4 years ago at a SJU game,

Even if all this is true, I don’t think Posh makes the plays he made in the last 5 minutes that lead to the win. Yes his issues played a role in us being in a position where we needed to make plays to win. But in last 5 minutes he hit the shot that tied the game. Had two great passes for 4 points when needed and of course the game winning assist when our “play” looked stifled. My position remains that it is up to the coach to demand he falls in line. Cause when it’s bad it’s awful, but he is by no means an awful player.
Not this year's Posh maybe, but freshman year Posh, I believe he would have made the plays (and also would not have made many bone headed ones prior to those). I believe there is a direct correlation between this year's Posh and Curbelo's presence on the roster. JMHO.

I agree wholeheartedly. Curbelo's presence on the floor throws Posh's game off. Posh's personality is more acquiescing so he defers to Curbelo's aggressive personality and doesn't play his game when they are on the floor together.

Only way we win this game is if we match Seton hall's physicality. They bullied the hell out of Butler this past weekend, and they are gonna try to do it again.

I trust Soriano will be up to the challenge in the paint... but our wings/guards gotta be ready to battle

I hope that Soriano remembers that he can pass back out when he is double or triple-teamed. Get their defenders moving.
I think they will try and force him to kick it back out to anyone except maybe Storr, and dare us to beat them from outside. Wusu had a nice game from outside against GT, but something tells me SH ain't all that worried about him.

The point is with effective PG play you don't put yourself int the position of needing his last 5 minutes to win gainst an improving but still pretty horrid GTown team. I tend to still be of the opinion that Posh, given the full reins, is a more effective PG.

He was a tough hard nosed player . Plus haz his name in Johnnie history for taking care of Donnie Marshall of UCONN. Didn’t Minlend have a son who was a highly rated player who went elsewhere ?
I believe you're referring to Barrett. I think Minlend's son played for San Francisco.

I love Posh, but can we look to anything past 2 years as him being effective as pg in late game? He’s not a guy who can slow things down and run good offense. With all of Curbelos warts, and there are plenty, he’s been better in final minutes than posh has shown. Several times this year curbelo made huge plays for wins late, can’t really remember any examples from posh but I’m sure I could be forgetting. I think he might have made the game winning pass in his first collegiate game to Vince cole, but by an large our record in late, close games has been abysmal. That’s on the coach and on the PG IMO. That’s who has the ball and is in control. By no means am I saying curbelo is leaps and bounds the better player, if given choice of one on my team, I’d take Posh, but as a point guard to finish out games, he has shown no ability to do so.
