Seton Hall, Wed., Feb. 1, 8:30p, CBSSN

Play defense for 40 minutes with no let downs and we have a shot. Take your foot off the gas and SH will bully us on the boards and grab every 50/50 ball.

Curbelo has been pretty consistently erratic all season. I made the mistake early on in today's game to say that he's playing under control. That didn't last long
Exactly right, but as Panther said in another thread we don't win that game down the stretch without the hustle plays he made. He's just a very frustrating player to watch because of his inconsistent play.

With a consistent PG from start v GT I bet SJU would have put this game away more easily. Yes Curbelo made some key plays at end of game, but he really was a major reason why the team struggled most of the game. Give me consistency rather than waiting for a guy in his third year of college hoops to make sensible plays. Against solid BE teams he can’t afford to bail himself out late Imo.

Should be going to this one- excited to see SJU vs Hall at CA... don't ever remember them playing anywhere but MSG. You guys know last time the played this game in Queens?

Two years ago when we played all our home games in CA because of Covid. We won by 10 in the last game of the regular season.

Last one before that was 2015 Lavin's last season. Beat them by 13

No love lost for Seton Hall, I live in their territory so it is always very sweet when we beat that school in South Orange. Their fans don't like or respect St. John's.

Having said that I am seeing a feisty group over there and their first year coach stresses defense. I expect a low scoring affair if we play some "D".

Do we get a blast of the Big "MO" from AJ's shot? Who knows with this group, look what happened after the nice Uconn win.

Danny the crybaby played for the Hall another good reason to defeat the Bucs.

Pitino turned Russ Smith into a championship caliber PG/SG.

Just sayin'...
