In the spirit of highlighting the positive, I notice the game promo has the correct time and location. Perhaps our athetics department is "gelling" late and ready to finish strong!
Don't understand why this game isn't being played at MSG. Was at the last Gtown game and this game would have gotten at least the same attendance numbers if not more.

Maybe a pregame remebrance if it happens I'lll tell you who to thank but listen

He was a tough hard nosed player . Plus haz his name in Johnnie history for taking care of Donnie Marshall of UCONN. Didn’t Minlend have a son who was a highly rated player who went elsewhere ?
Yes Sly, he played at University of San Francisco within the past 5 years or so.

With a consistent PG from start v GT I bet SJU would have put this game away more easily. Yes Curbelo made some key plays at end of game, but he really was a major reason why the team struggled most of the game. Give me consistency rather than waiting for a guy in his third year of college hoops to make sensible plays. Against solid BE teams he can’t afford to bail himself out late Imo.
THIS!!! For every good play, there's 5 bad ones. His hero ball style sometimes allows him to make some plays when needed. But on a regular basis, throughout most games, that style is a detriment to the team, and he seems incapable of just making the basic plays without the mustard and as a result, causes MANY empty trips and worse with his turnovers and stupid fouls. He is a HUGE net negative, and I personally don't care really how many good plays he makes, because they are almost by accident. The playground style he plays is embarrassing at this level. He ain't Magic Johnson or Gary Peyton making spectacular fancy plays, but that is probably how he sees himself. Just a reckless, clueless and selfish player.

Even if all this is true, I don’t think Posh makes the plays he made in the last 5 minutes that lead to the win. Yes his issues played a role in us being in a position where we needed to make plays to win. But in last 5 minutes he hit the shot that tied the game. Had two great passes for 4 points when needed and of course the game winning assist when our “play” looked stifled. My position remains that it is up to the coach to demand he falls in line. Cause when it’s bad it’s awful, but he is by no means an awful player.

Plus, while Magic Johnson was capable of making spectacular plays, he almost always made the right play and was not someone you had to worry about playing hero ball or pouting.

Fordham made a great point about Russ Smith, a free spirit at Louisville, being successfully reined in by his coach. Yes it is up to CMA to do that. So far he has not imo.
