Exactly. And they have no choice to play him because of the thin bench. Again, context matters and the whole season matters. If we had Seton Hall’s OOC results there would have been a riot before the first BE game. There is a reason their metrics are so poor. To Sha’s credit, he has done a great job “righting the ship” with this group in conference play. They essentially rely on 5 guys - the big kid off the bench who hurt us has done nothing to date - but those 5 guys have been very good as a unit in conference play. And Richmond, who always had big time talent, looks like the light bulb finally turned on. They’ve avoided injury to anyone in that starting 5 so far and been fortunate in that respect compared to other BE teams. All the credit to them and Sha for turning around their season, but the reason they have a massive hole to climb from is because the team that performed in the OOC is the one picked to finish 9th in the league. We will see if their good play and good fortune continues.
At some point the carriage will become a pumpkin and in this case the Cinderella story will end. They are at peak now, only down from here - can only catch those lucky breaks for so long. Also- we gave them the game, unforced turnovers and silly passes all over the place during the entire game. Lazy rebounding and wide open 3s. We beat ourselves really. I think we see a different result next month.
