@Seton Hall, Sun. Jan. 22, 12 Noon, FS1/570AM

Delgado and Patton are really good players but we make them look like NBA Hall of Famers.

Harsh reality is that we don't have a BE capable front court Player. Matt A. better get us 2 ready to compete Inside talent. We will lose to every team that has Size and skill upfront. Much of that lands on Lavin for never delivering much after the DLO class. Jordan and Obepka were hardly worth the effort as they gave so little after their Reps had suggested otherwise.

Ponds hasn't been right, in quite a while and doesn't seem comfortable off the ball.. Lovett tries to do too much and is outsized and harassed by bigger and stronger guards. Ahmed is a negative any time he plays and will not be able to alter his game, which is out of control.

Mullin's task will be to bring in 4-5 star serviceable players with BE size and skills. We don't have that yet and complaining about Play when the talent gap is so severe is counter productive

The future looks bleak. This team that is presently getting blown out by the Hall will be basically be the same team next year. The recruiting is poor and the redshirts sitting out this year are not game changers. This is turning out to be a replay of the Lavin years without two NCAA appearances .For all the optimist who believe Owens will put on 30 lbs and Yakwe will learn to catch and shoot a basketball. Good Luck!

Hope has carried me through the last 15 years. But I just dred the prospect of another year ahead with no sign of a muscled center or reboundingpower forward.

Marvin Clark? Hopefully

Who and when last 20/20 game in Big East?

Delgado head and shoulders above anybody we have in the front court . He is the type player we need to bring in and compete with to improve in the BE Conference. He is NBA talent and size. 6'10'' and 240-250 lbs.

Clark is definitely not a center and, while he is big, I do not think he is the blue collar rebounder type.

The bettors are bit on edge right now 82-70 with 2 and a half left.

I know it's academic, but I'd still rather see a second half like this, then one where we just went silently into the night.

I disagree with this assessment.
There's reason to be optimistic. Freshmen become sophomores! Sophomores become juniors.

And there is certainly talent on the way. Justin Simon is a 6-5 guard that was a top 30-35 recruit nationally out of HS. That's right around where guys like Sampson Harkness and Pointer were ranked. They turned out pretty good, no?

And Clark is a 6-7 forward with 2 years experience in the big 10. Right now he would arguably be better than Ahmed and certainly better than Alibegovic or Yakwe.

There is reason to think we will be better next year. Including the coaching.

And our fans need to stop crying about 6'9 "bull" powerforwzrds. Those guys don't grow on trees. Any big guy with even halfway decent skill is highly sought after.

Someone needs to tell Lovett that he is NOT Allen Iverson and Ahmed needs to be put at the end of the bench. I'd rather see the German kid play.....

Those were, imo, our two best players today. Am I missing something?

Giving up 85 to a team that has struggled offensively is not a good formula.

Our entire team D is not good.
From Ponds and Lovett to Ahmed to the bigs.

We rightfully criticize Owens and Yakwe... but the other 3 are not good defenders.

Ellison has the potential to defend well, but only brings the energy and IQ every other game.
