Unfortunately no. The early losses are killing us with that. We would need to win 4 of 5 to get a five hundred record and the NIT now gives automatic bids to conference winners who lose their conference tournament so it still wouldn't be a guarantee.
 
Congrats to the team and staff on a very important win. A Win for this season as we continue to show improvement while the Hall trends in the opposite direction and this is key for recruiting as we will be going head to head with them for recruits over the next few seasons.
Never really believed we would improve so much from one season to the next in BE play.

Did not see game and did not see score until there was a sports line...my heart was sinking awaiting the outcome...( why do some of us take the team sooo seriously???)

Why do some of us take the team so seriously, indeed. I had to turn off the TV for a while even though we were winning because the stress was getting to me.

And the NiT like the NCAA looks at how you finish out the season, so those early loses can be overcame.

If ever the NIT was going to really reach for a team, it could be us this year if we continue to play well and finish strong. Aside from the fact that we are an exciting team, are peaking and the right time and can beat anyone else in the field, We Are New York's team!!!

Syracuse is building a case for sure which also helps us.
 
Won without making a lot of 3s and despite a big rebounding disadvantage. Effort was good throughout. Owens unsung hero of the team. Without him, the season could have been a disaster.
 
Great team win - fabulous effort and hustle
Mullin played our best lineup - LoVett, Ponds, Ahmed, Yakwe and Owens
Owens' improvement this season has been nothing short of remarkable
Yakwe seems to be getting more into the flow of things
Ahmed is playing more "in control" and within the system
LoVett and Ponds ... what can you say ... they've been awesome
Never thought I'd praise Amar again, but what a lift he gave us today
Onward and upward - most nights, this is a fun bunch to watch!!
