@Seton Hall, Sat., Dec. 31, Noon, FS-1

Word is Seton Hall is struggling with generating NIL resources so far. The Hall like SJU is not an easy job. Willard who can coach, like him or not, got out at the right time Imo.
They've gone the MAAC route four straight hires now. Mixed results, to say the least. Williard was good. Orr and Gonzalez? Not so much.

Like many other road venues, the Prudential Center has not been kind to St.John’s. 1-10 all time at ‘The Rock’, with the average margin of defeat being 12.9 points. Our lone win was on Feb.13,2014.

But he coached into his 70's. As a matter of fact, he only retired after last season. By that standard, we could get 4 years out of Pitino! ;)
K was in constant pain. Rick only looks tired but is as energetic a 70-year-old as you'll find. Plus his wife probably hates him. He won't want to be home full time until 77 or 78.

I’m sure Mrs. Pitino appreciates all the Italian take out food he brings her home each night.

This Seton Hall game could be of great significance to SJU. The telecast of the Xavier game revealed a team in chaos without any leadership at all.
I feel Anderson is done but what about Cragg. The mens basketball program is a total mess not only in its win loss standing since Cragg arrived but attendance is pathetic as is the schedule and the relationship with MSG.Both the baseball and lacrosse programs have fallen and thank God for the womens basketball.
Im not close to SJU and there may be somethings he is doing at a high level but I do recall his talk of expanding CA when he was hired when now we can talk about closing off the top level to assure sell outs.

I'm sorry, but I just don't understand the hate towards Cragg. The man single handedly brought many aspects of the athletic department out of the stone age. How easily we forget how much of a mom & pop shop this whole school was run as prior to him coming on board. The last coaching search was a total disaster that can't fully be blamed on him at all, it was out of his control. Attendance is going to be driven by having a winning program, and we certainly don't have that. But again, Cragg can't play the games on the court.
