Seton Hall - 2nd Game

Ok , great great NEEDED win. Obviously Dom played amazing. Obekpa, Jordan, and Harrison had solid games, but I loved PGIV's game today. Quiet assassin. 20 points with 4 3s. A lot of those 3s were rally killers too. Overall, great win, exciting game, and well coached by Lav. Maybe we need Mullin at the games more often. Go Johnnies!!!!!!

Thanks
1. My good fortune, sat one row behind Louie Ron Rutledge Chris
- Brian Mahoney whom I like was in Florida - wow I would think it was worth a flight to be with perhaps St Johns' best " crew" ever....perhaps I'm a bit sentimental
2. Did they have senior day or was it put over to an MSG game?

All the best

And the run started when I took a shower, so maybe I should watch less.

I think so. Maybe don't watch at all til March
(2015)!
:)
No that would be undue punishment...great game!!
Time for a nice evening!!!
All the best

I could be wrong but I think the announcer said that Zendon was an Assistant Coach with the team. Does he have any official title?

If no one has mentioned I've seen Zendon all year - during one time out he gave A (? the kid ifrom Europe) a hug whispering some advice into the kid'd ear! A pix you don't get on TV.

Yes, SSG, he's been visible on TV every game usually in the 2nd row with a clipboard next to the Italian Grad assistant.

I left you my cell. Sorry I missed you.

And Oh yes Terence Mullin sat with his brother for a while!

Terrence usually sits behind my row at CA. He wasn't at the induction ceremony, but I did meet his brother Rod, who Chris introduced to us. When I saw he wasn't at the game, I guessed he was coaching one of his CYO teams - after all, for the Mullins, the game has always been more important than a ceremony. Sure enough, midway through the 1st half, 4 or 5 kids still in St. Francis DeSales uniforms arrived, and yes, Terrence sat with his brother on the other side of the court. Special day for sure.

Just returned, very good effort. Toughened up and played great when needed. Agree Branch was important. Balanced scoring is impressive and no one really forced anything (except Jordan a few times, but overall a good game by him too). I like these guys a lot. Just a player of 2 from being REAL good. Let's lock up a bid over the next 2 weeks and see what happens.

A steady game from Jordan. As I said many times a kid that takes chances with his passes will blow some, however let's not forget some of his excellent passes and assists today. Especially liked his downcourt pass to Pointer at an important time in the game. And have to compliment Lavin, after a timeout, he set up a drive by Rysheed who hit a cutting Pointer for a score.
These games can't be good for my health. Didn't like the way Seton Hall kept coming back. My wife knew we won after she heard screams of "YES".
Thanks seniors for your play and record at Carnesecca Arena.

Akazyili wasn't at today's game. He is coming Monday

He was talking about Alibegovic

Just got back from the game. What a wonderful game to see. Sir Dom once again! DLo! Sheed! PGIV! I'm sure the analysis and breakdown has all been written.

I was really touched by the end of the game. Seeing the seniors soak in the time on the court knowing it was probably their last game at CA made me feel so proud off these guys. Seeing Dom wave to and acknowledge the crowd! That was wonderful to see.

The guys did what we said they should; protect our house. Now to do the same for X and Georgetown.

Even though it took me almost two hours to get home, driving in snow covered roads for most of the time, I am still on a high from this game.

I was referring to the tall European kid we already have ( forget his name again) nice interaction with Zendon & him

Exact same experience Tony, snowy Rte 95 & all! Great game!

On his FaceBook page, Lavin made a specific comment about the crowd today. He said that when it's as electric as it was today at CA, it rivals any venue in the Big East, or in all of basketball for that matter. Couldn't agree more. Unfortunately, the atmosphere at CA isn't always like it was today.

Very good and much needed win. Loved some of Jordans passes and Dom had that awesome block in the 2nd half which seems to be the norm.

Glad these kids go out with a win at Carnesseca. BUT we NEED to win our 2 MSG games and win an away game so let's smack down Xavier again on monday.

On a Seton Hall note Delgado is one of my favorite players in the Big East. Kid is a beast on the boards

I was also impressed with Rodriguez
They do have good freshmen
I wonder if Willard will be around to coach them

Every once in a while, you get that feeling that reminds you why you're a fan. Why you keep coming back. Why you keep paying the bill.

Today's atmosphere at Carnesecca gave me that feeling. It reminded me that, despite the pathetic rut we have been in, the program remains a sleeping giant. Hopefully we can get it right soon. After all, those who are old enough to remember the glory days won't be around forever.

Great win today! Much respect and thanks to our seniors.
