Jakarr's mid range shot has been terrific but to play in the nba hell have to be able to hit 3's. Hes not strong enough to bang on the inside. Moe had more of a perimeter game than Jakarr in terms of taking people off the dribble from the 3 point line, and I think was looked at as an easier transition to the wing in the NBA. Because of that I viewed Moe's NBA potential as greater than Jakarrs at this point in their collegiate career.
I believe at this point last year NBAdraft.net had moe as a top ten pick after his sophomore year. Jakarr isnt mentioned at this point.
I think Jakarr could really benefit from another year (thought the same with Jakarr and most players who leave after one year) but if A team is willing to take a flyer on him such as they did with moe than I wouldnt be able to blame him.
The biggest knock on Moe was his outside shot. He calmed everyone's fears by shooting so well and consistently during the draft combine, not during the season. Scouts were enamoured with Moe's frame as he looked to have your prototypical NBA SF body.
Jakarr is a better midrange shooter, rebounder and shotblocker at this point than Moe was last year. And he looks like he'll only improve shooting the midrange shot.
I'd say Moe scored much more transition baskets at this point last year than Jakarr has. It seems like we only get 1-2 breakaways this year. Imagine what's going to happen if/when we start getting some consistent fastbreak opportunities. Not sure you'll find 5 better finishers in the BE than Jakarr.
I think I said before the season started, all Jakarr needs is a breakout conference game at MSG. There will be scouts at the Georgetown game to see Otto Porter. That would be a good showcase game for Jakarr.
I agree with most of what you said although many would say Moe was the better rebounder/shotblocker of the two ( it really is close).
Just a question for you, do think Jakarr is a 3 at the next level? I think hes more of a 4 while moe is more of a 3.

First of all will Jakarr leave who knows time will tell. But he has more reasons to stay. He is rooming with a good friend who he probably wants to play with in Hooper. So I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't go.
I don't think Harrison is going anywhere unless he has more than 4 assist a game. He is too small to be a 2 in the NBA. He won't be able to play against people like Kobe and he will end up in the D-League. He will probably have one more year here before he goes.
And even without both of them this team will have a 5th year senior (Gift), 1 senior (Marco) 5 juniors (Greene, Branch, Amir, Dom, and Hooper) and 3 sophomores at least, as well as the new recruits. You have two 3 point threats off the bench, a defensive stop, a true PG, a shot blocker, we would need to get another big who can score, hopefully Lawrence, but we could be a tournament team. And if Harrison and Jakarr stay then we could make a great run.

I never understood the Hooper argument.
If Jakarr has buzz and the opportunity to earn millions, he's not staying here because his bestie will be eligible.
He'd be nuts.

They are ridiculously close. But all depends on the person. Some people are built differently than others and choose certain paths.
We'll see. If he keeps putting up these #'s we will be having a good season
If we lose Dlo and Sampson how good do you realisticalyy think we can be next year? I think we would probably take a step back even from this year's team.I'd say 60/40 right now he leaves.
If he wins BE ROY, I have no doubt he's gone.
How many Conference Rookie of the Year's leave?
Very weak draft this year. I wouldn't blame him for leaving and striking while the iron is still hot if he does indeed win ROY. Moe's name didn't really start coming up until conference play if I recall correctly. Jakarr has come out of the gate flying.
It would hurt us but also could help that Lav put 2 ROY's in the NBA back to back.

IOW Mo picked a great week to have his best shooting week ever. He's 1-10 from 3PG in the NBA and also shooting 41% from the line. OMG. And that's why you jump as soon as you can get drafted in the 1st round. You never know what's going to happen.
By the time the NCAA determines Sanchezs eligibility ,this year will be over and he will have o years of eligibility. I hope Im wrong, but it is frustrating. If we lose Dlo and Sampson how good do you realisticalyy think we can be next year? Depends on who replaces them.
An EXPERIENCED backcourt of Green, Branch, Balamou, Bourgalt + Hooper, Obekpa and Gift at the Posts, Sir Dom, Amir, and Jones at the forwards - that's a he11uva strong nucleus - far stronger that THIS year's returning nucleus was. If you add say, Rysheed in the Backcourt, and Jermaine in the frontcourt - we can certainly be better next year than this....by the end of the season, when it counts. And we still have no clue on Sanchez' statuw (remember, all this with him was obstensively to dertermin if the had TWO or one year of eligibilty!)....

Are you mad?

Funny how one little omitted word can make a world of difference.
Here's a mock draft from Normie Jeff Goodman Top 10-15 picks are real solid IMO
