Rysheed

Pretty much agree with all posted here but I hope he comes back and gets a degree; that way he has a lot more than basketball in his future.

To me getting Jordan to buy into the team concept , playing within himself and caring about wins and potentially dancing as opposed to playing for his stats and auditioning for playing for dollars is a much greater accomplishment by coach than Dom going from a player half this board wanted to toss by the wayside into a first team all big east player. With Dom he was finally moved to his correct position with Jordan the unselfishness has been beyond remarkable.
Congrats to the staff for Jordan's 180 degree transformation.

Rysheed needs to take ownership of next year and start recruiting! He has a chance to build the team around him and raise his stock for the NBA.....needs to stay and build his resume for 1st round guaranteed money! ...he's got work to do but with the right work ethic and maturity he can make it to the next level.

In a pro league with so many quality PGs...I can't help but think that if Sheed continues to mature, and show that he can be a LEADER of a team, it would do more to raise his draft potential than anything on the stat sheet.

That said, that 5 to 1 assist to TO rate of late is looking pretty impressive. LEAD this team next year young man, that is the next part of your game to blossom? :)

Big difference between the two. Dunn is a top 20 pick right now and his stock is risking. A lock for guaranteed money. Sheed at this point is not getting drafted. Dunn should be a roadmap for how Sheed gets into the first round after next year.

I actually think his game is better suited for the pros than in college. I think if he can get his foot in the door he will find a spot on an NBA team. Makes sense for him to come back average 18 points or so a game and maybe get drafted. Obviously that would be the best scenerio for us. We however are not him. I hope he comes back but if he does not I will not be one of the people bashing the kid.

At this time his game is not up to Pro level.

It will be all about the "handlers". If they want to cash in, they will convince him to jump ship to the NBA.

Dunn is probably a late first round pick at this point in time and rysheed is a mid-late second round pick. Besides that difference, I think much of the article pertains as I could see both being lottery picks next year and leading their respective teams to outstanding years

not. ready. yet.

Would have to have a bustout NCAA tourney to play his way into the draft - Sweet 16 at least and some outstanding play against stellar competition.

Rysheed has the same problem Dom does, to be a guard in the NBA you need to shoot.
There is very little room for guys who don't. Moe could find himself in Europe for the same reason.

That said, I think Rysheed has some unique court vision. It's not fully developed, but he makes dishes to the big men inside that could really impress NBA gms.

Same can be said of Branch.

*frustrated*

You just don't let some opinions die regardless of how much evidence there is to the contrary. Moe shot 38.3% from three last year on 154 attempts. Stop saying he can't shoot! He is 21! If his NBA career rested on his ability to shoot from three, he'll have a very, very good and long career.

Rysheed can shoot a little and is still growing into his game. Dom can't shoot...that is true. Three very different players.

Rysheed will be held back back by his off court issues and the fact that he is not a pure (or close to it) PG at this "point" of his career. Dom will be held back by his overall lack of skill, but could still find a niche due to his athletic ability and defensive versatility.

Moe is shooting 14% from 3 this season, and I'm sure his 2pt jumpers aren't much better. I still love him, but that's why he doesn't play!

You need a better shot than either Rysheed or Dom are displaying in order to stick in the league long term at their positions. I don't understand why you would argue that.

Also true. But he also lacks the athleticism that the other two have.

Granted I don't think he's a great shooter at this point, but he's come a long way since last year. Up to. 35% from 3 which is respectable compared to 28% last year

I agree. Rysheed is improving his shot. I think as that goes, so goes his draft stock.
But in his case, I do think returning to school would be a good move.
