Rysheed Jordan

Just a shame how poorly he was used last season.

Shameful.

Like every freshman, he was going to have to adjust.

But using the kid gloves on him and constantly tinkering the lineups set him back.

We need an offensive system in the worst way. Guys need to know what position on the floor to be in and where the open man will be.

That being said, I have no doubts that this will be Sheed's last year in an SJU uniform. Glad to see he's getting organized training instead of just pickup games.

He has a jumper. He needs a consistent jumper

And also no hesitance to take it. He was reluctant at times to take charge offensively, and that's part of being a freshmen. I expect a much more commanding role from sheed offensively next year.

Jordan will be the best player on the floor in most, if not all, of our conference games. Big East POY, if he make up his mind to take charge.

If he puts on 10 pounds of muscle and pickups a jumper, he could be unstoppable.

He's got legit long term nba pro written all over him. Just needs to keep on polishing his game. Improve range and consistency of his shot. Work on pick and rolls; eliminate some turnovers and always, always work on passing. A little muscle would be nice. That will come with time. But speed is as important as anything.

It's all there for him for taking. Just make sure he hangs out with the right crowd - that will encourage him to keep on working on it. It's so competitive, you can't let up for a second.

Very true. He also has NBA size, he is every inch of 6'4. I met him after the Robert Morris game in the lobby of Carnesca, I'm 6'2 and he was def at least 2 inches taller than me if not more.

No ones even mentioned his defense yet. His length, hands, and instincts on that side of the ball are excellent. He can control the game on both ends. He is reason enough to be hopeful next season. His ceiling could potentially be 17,6,6. He is that good.

Good point. Actually, I was including his defensive game, but didn't mention it. He should be on the floor anywhere between 32-35 minutes per game. He needs to be a bit smarter and pick his spots, so he won't pick up ticky-tacky fouls and land himself on the bench.

I'm looking for him to have a big season in '14-'15.

Completely agree about his hands. His hands and his defense are his best traits along with his size. Others will poke fun, but he's got to clean up his footwork from that video. It needs to be exactly the same every time and it needs to be correct. That little move he was doing catching the ball with his back turned and going to the lane could be devastating in a game setting, but he's got to show people he can use his left in order for that to be a consistent threat.

I wouldn't put 17-6-6 past him. If I was a betting man, I'd say 15-4.5 boards-4 assists. I think a very good season puts him at the early to mid second round next year. A ridiculous season (think Sweet 16) could land him in the first round.

I think hes a lock for the 1st round. The only real question is just how high.
I'm predicting 16-5-5 production from him next year.

Clean up his footwork? Video shows him blowing by a middle aged man weighing about 3 bills! :)

Mudiay and Tyus are lottery picks. Harrison is a lock for the first round as well. Marcus Paige was already dominant last season, averging 17.5 and 4.2 while shooting 39% from three and he willl return again. Delon Wright of Utah has been in mocks for over a year in the first or early second...he's bigger and just as if not more athletic. He's 6'5 averaged 15.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.3 boards, 2.5 assists, and 1.3 blocks. It won't be as easy as we think. Not to mention the absurd amount of PGs drafted last year and likely this year. I can't see more than four PGs going in the first round and that might be a stretch.

Agreed. No way, no how is Jordan a "lock" for first-round pick unless he steps things up significantly this season. He is very, very good but not a star yet.

Do the Knicks have a first round pick next year? They need a point guard so bad and it's easy to scout sheed I would imagine.

Disagree to a degree. He has shown he has very, very good ability and potential but he was far from a very, very good player last year; way too inconsistent to be labeled that yet. Hopefully he becomes that next season.

This is the NBA we're talking about, it's easy to scout anybody.
