I think it's great that Lavin and Chiles have proved again that they can go out and get great recruits. But before we drink all of the kool-aid, and I don't want to be Debbie Downer, does anyone know if Jordan is academically eligible, or played semi-pro ball one summer in Outter Mongolia? We do have some history under Lavin to haul in those recruits that seem to have eligibility issues. I really hope there is no eligibility issue here and he can live up to his hype.

according to article on Rumble in Garden site, he has to complete summer school classes.

Wow!!! In one day we become a Final Four?

The second he has a game where he shoots like 3-for-14 someone will make a post about how "this guy was over ranked" or that "he's not a Big East caliber point guard" or that "Lavin should be fired," you can book it.

If Jordan has indeed committed to St. John's, then this is a great day, and we should have a hell of a back court. I would love to see him and a healthy Branch on the floor together. Welcome aboard, Sheed!

It's official, per that tweet.

Here it goes.... Per my source, he was never going to Temple. Some folks can vouch for me on that one. So, for all the folks who got caught up in Jordan going to Temple games.... It never meant anything other than attending games due to his proximity to the school. He loves his city, and had no qualms of reppin' it. Now, he can rep his city in NYC.

Of course, I was a bit wary because I know how kids can change their minds or even tease. But I became more concerned about UCLA rather than Temple, as his recruitment went along. It was the reason I continued to mention (and was told) they were a serious darkhorse in Jordan's recruitment. Regardless, we were always in very, good shape, as I initially stated in December.

Our staff (Chiles did a good job here); proximity; and available time won out on this one. I believe I read one expert who stated he was gonna place Jordan as one of his top 25 players when the final rankings come out. Kudos to the staff for nabbing this kid!

Welcome aboard, Jordan!

Huge pickup for us. His grades aren't a problem from what I've heard. Kid is a stud at PB who is über difficult to guard. Big, strong, fast and athletic. Good penetrator and passer. Kid will be a pro, but before that we have some work to do.

PG Rysheed, Branch
SG Harrison, Greene, Balamou

Good job Dink. I can finally breath out.

Great job by coach and staff , Lavin's like the Mounties they always get their man.. Persistency pays off

What a lift to the preogram

Great pick up. Coach, you never seem to amaze me. One of the best recruiters in the sport. Proud you are representing SJU. Next year we are completely stacked, I bet Balamou red shirts. Jordan, Greene, DeAngelo, Branch, Sampson, O-Block-pa, Gift, Sanchez, Sir Dom, Marco, Hooper, Jones, and Balamou. I cant remember such a deep team. Seriously , i think Jones and Balamou should red shit. They will be much needed for the following year! Im soooooo pumped for next year !!!!

Not only that, but wait until this team gets to Spain during its summer tour. The bulls of Pamplona will be running from them.

not to get off topic, and i know its wayyy too early but this sounds promising.

Congrats To My Boy @sheedjordan Committed To St.Johns Today #NYC Show Out

I am excited with trepidation. We have had many of these "great gets" in the past only to be disappointed. I hope and pray that this time it works out. We have solid players that should bring us deep into The Dance. My only hope is to one day see a (dare I say it?) National Championship.
