Rutgers, Thur., Nov. 19, 7PM, FS1 & WMCA 570 AM

The end game officiating was abysmal. Hope Eddie has a pack of Marlboro's on him, cuz he just got screwed. I feel dirty. Those 2 non calls were horrendous.

True, but they were non-calls on the same sequence, so they only amounted to one horrendous non-call.

Eddie Jordan: "We got out-hearted." #sjubb

The got out Felixed.

Sir Felix with 8 pts, 7 assists, 11 boards and the St. John's high jump record

Sima had 13 pts, 9 Reb, 6 Blocks 3 Ast. Nice all around game but most impressive was that he played hard and only picked up 3 fouls in 39 MINUTES. And he wasn't taking plays off. For a freshman to play that many minutes and stay out of foul trouble shows really great discipline and defensive instincts. We've got ourselves a player there.

Sima is better now than Obekpa would have been this season. Very impressed with him

I haven't been this pumped up leaving CA in ages. I don't know how they won but somehow they did. Nobody really played that great and I thought we were outplayed but voila a W.

I totally agree. Obekpa's blocks were fun to watch but that never really translated into rebounding. Sima gets after the ball more. (Also feels like Sima might be less likely to lose his composure and elbow someone in the face which is nice)

Sima was getting down on himself. Some other guys would have been pointing fingers. These guys are good teammates. Glad that Lavin was on hand too to see Felix and CJ playing with some heart and effectiveness.

And hopefully less likely to smoke weed before an NCAA tournament game

@NYPost_Brazille: Don't thin I've heard Carnsecca Arena that loud in a long time. #sjubb

It was very very ugly........and I loved every minute of it!

My expectations for this season remain low, but I think this is going to be a fun. Good group of developing talent and more on the way.

And put me on the Ron Paris bandwagon ( I'm never going to spell his last name right ). 10 rebounds. Kids hit the boards tonight and the team did especially on the offensive side

Can't say we looked great. But came from 16 down and got the W against a big 10 team. Durand was disappointing for a Sr. W his experience. Sima looked good and Felix was the energizer bunny that Dom used to be. Who would have thought we would be 3 and o after the STAC debacle. Want to see improvement after everything game. Vanderbilt is beatable.

Wasn't pretty, but kids scrapped, hung in there & got the W. Must say the environment was great. Monte stopped over when we were down ten & turned the whole game around. You are welcomed anytime Monte!! :)

Felix -- Dom Pointer lite ?

8 pts 11 rbs 7 ast. Good all around "glue guy" performance. Will be the best athlete on the court most nights. Maybe he is capable of giving the team a bit of what Pointer gave last year

I have some met rally towels that I can change to Monte towels
