Rick Pitino - Head Coach at St John’s University!!!

I saw that too. A little surprising about Glenn Taylor Jr. I guess that tells us something about him and/or Coach.
Think coach figured it was easier to teach Luis to play consistent defense than it was going to be to turn Taylor into a consistent scorer.

I can't even remember the timeline anymore, but I suspect they knew they had a good shot at Scott, who as part of his defensive repertoire was going to hit the boards harder than Taylor.

Do coaches even have the appetite to develop freshman in the modern landscape? With how freely kids can transfer, it seems like it's all about the transfer portal and retaining who you already have at this point.
Seems as though major college sports has become the over paid version of "minor league" sports. "Student" athletes are perpetual free agents and NIL $ is the bait. I always felt the time these major college athletes had to spend honing their craft was worthy of compensation. But never in my wildest did I envision what it's become. It's dampened my enthusiasm for college athletics.

Weird that the two thieves are walking TOWARDS Rick's office with the dagger and bullhorn already in their possession. The Olympic sports coaches are 30 ft. right down the hallway so maybe that's who owned those two items. You don't see any wine bottle so that also tells me they were on their way to the coaches offices upstairs in Taftner from Carnesecca Arena in this security footage.
Students not in session yet, it's still summer and all of the coaches are on vacation except VB and soccer's, so Taffner would be empty. Perfect time to pull a Watergate!

Panther has made that walk 100's of times... also thieves don't rob a room , leave and then go back to the same room. So probably those items were plucked from somewhere else. I'm sure Security has pix from their entrance into Carnesecca and where they went around that arena and then their passage into and around Taffner and them leaving with the haul.

Detective Hall is on the case! Will be solved shortly 😊

With regard to retention, I saw a recent interview with Pitino where he said he has not lost any player at St.John's to transfer that he wanted to retain.
Which is a complete 180 from his comments in multiple interviews that he wanted to retain Storrs. As always Rick’s comments (a 3.5k bottle of wine was stolen, Luis and Cruz are faking their injuries etc) should be taken with at least 2 grains of salt.

But Store never played for Rick. I think the quote was more about the players who actually played for him.

"Yakubov, 25, was charged with third-degree burglary, petit larceny, third-degree criminal trespassing, and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property."
As punishment they should be locked in a windowless room and be forced to watch an endless loop of our losses during the Norm error.

He's a Long Island City guy so he also broke half the traffic laws to get to Hillcrest.
His accomplice, Yakov Smirnoff, should be caught soon!😉

What does that have to do with anything? They could live off campus and us a Moped to get back and forth.

Redmen89 says they weren’t students and I will go with his intel.
Yes, they could live off-campus........if classes were actually in session.😉
But since non of the offsite housing allows mopeds to be stored indoors, where would they keep them securely in Queens? NOWHERE.
That was my point.....sarcastically of course since there is a moped theft epidemic in NYC.
